Chapter Ninety:
I shuffled some paperwork on the desk but found I couldn’t concentrate and once I realized this I found myself thinking over the last several weeks and how my life had changed so drastically. I pondered the thoughts I had heard from Tasha the day I was sworn in as Queen and I also pondered why she would think she was in danger from me, and for some reason an unfamiliar feeling welled up inside me and I had to quickly push those thoughts away. It made me uncomfortable not knowing what was going on between us and worrying about our friendship.
There was a knock on my door that made me jump. “Come in!” I called shuffling my paperwork around some more.
“Your majesty I was wondering if I could have a word.”
“Sure Tasha what is wrong?” I asked sitting up feeling more alert.
