"What are you doing here?" I said to Melina

Melina was about to respond. When I hold my hand up to her telling her that I was busy.

"Sorry, princess, but I am going to have to call you later?"

"Okay, it's fine, but just send me the address then. See you later, Lorenzo."

Hmmm, the way she said my middle was a significant turn on. I couldn't imagine how it would sound when she moaning my name so loud.

"So, are you going to let me in or what?"

"What do you want from me?"

"That's not polite to treat your wife like."

"First of all, you are not my wife since I already filed for a divorce, and second why don't you go straight to the point ."

"Well, honey, I just came to tell that you are not getting rid of me easily since I am carrying your child."

"Wait, what...… You got to be joking, right?"

"No, it's your child, and here is the DNA test to prove it to you," she said as she handed me the papers.

What the hell. How did this happen? The last we had s*x was three months ago.

"Stop lying and tell me who is the actual father of this child. Because it can't be mine since the last we had s*x was three months ago. How many months are you?"

"Honey, it yours since I am three months pregnant, and I am telling you right that I want this baby to grow up with both parents you and me."

"It's not going to happen. I am engaged to Maddie, and I love her."

Did I just say that I love her? In front of this b***h, .who is willing to separate from Maddie?

"Heres the thing I don't want you near Maddie."

"As long as you leave here then I won't say a word"

"I need you to leave NOW."

"Fine, but this is not over...BYE BABE," she left, slamming the door.

Fuck. What am I going to do? I just can't go tell my dad that I have t cancel the deal with the Michelson right before her birthday. TBH we haven't really talked about the marriage nor on planning the wedding. I just don't want here to get the wrong idea of me using her and the family to gain wealth.

I need to think of a plan and soon before her birthday.

Maddie P.O.V

I was about to get up from bed when my phone started to buzz. I looked at who it was, and to my surprise, it was Daniel.

"Hello," I said in a sleepy voice

"Good Morning, baby girl," he said

"Good Morning "

"So, I wanted to know if you had any plan later?"

"Ummm, no, I don't. I just have two classes today. Why?"

"Well, I was wondering if you wanted to go out today with me ?"

"Okay. Tell me about the place and time, and I will meet you there."

"Well, I thought it would be a surprise, and I will be picking you up at your apartment at 7."

"Is that okay with you?"

"Yes. But wait, what do I wear?"

He was about to tell me what to wear when he told me he would call me later.

After he hangs up, I started to get ready and hop in the shower. After a relaxing bubble bath, I went straight to my walking in the closet to pick out my outfit of the day. Since he didn't message me nor call, I decide to go casual. I got a pair of army green shorts with a white strap shirt with black stripes, and I choose to top it off with an oversized destress denim jacket, as for the shoes, I went straight to my air force. After getting dress, I went back to my bathroom and did my make up and hair. I went for light makeup today and curl just the tips of my hair and tied it up to low ponytail with an army green scrunchie with white flower patterns. I was finishing up when my phone buzz and saw a message saying he couldn't come to pick me up, so he sent me the address of the restaurants. To my surprise, he chose one of my family restaurants.

I left my room and went to the living room to get my purse and a water bottle and left.

After driving for thirty minutes, I got to the restaurant and went inside. I just went straight inside, since everyone knows me, I just walk by. But then someone stops me...

"Miss, you can't go inside without a reservation?"

"'Do you not know who I am ?"

When he looked up, I couldn't believe who it was...

"..Jake?"

"Maddie..?"

"Hi, Jake. What are you doing here?"

"I work here."

"Do my brother know you work here?"

I guess he doesn't know we owned the restaurant because he looks confused.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean that my siblings and I owned the restaurant ."

"oh, "he said shock

"Anyway, I am running a little late for my date. But it was nice seeing you again."

"Likewise, see you on Monday "

He said as he went back to the kitchen.

I headed toward the table and saw Daniel looking at his phone. I went up to him, and he gave me a bouquet pink with white roses

"Thank you for the roses, and sorry that I am late."

"Don't worry, I see that...never mind. Are you ready to order."

"Yes I am "

Josh came and took the order. Daniel orders Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, while I order Pesto Pasta with grilled chicken. We both talk about how our day has been going. But he looks so out of place like something is bothering him.

When our food arrived, we eat in silence, but it was weirder than it should be. I kinda have the feeling that maybe this relationship is never going to work.

Daniel P.O.V

Ohh, f**k, this Lunch date is so... Awkward. I never wanted this to be so weird in between us. I know that she is dying to ask me what wrong with me. But to be honest, I am not really ready to tell. I took out for lunch because we had to talk about the marriage announcement dinner. My dad has been going to me, asking when we were going to announce the engagement.

"So...Maddie, I was wondering when do you want to announce our engagement to the public?"

"Well, I was thinking about, and we could do it on my birthday dinner... right before the actual party at the club."

'That sounds perfect. I would contact my event planner then."

"Oh don't worry I got everything plan "

"Oh, okay," I was about to tell her something when my phone started to ring for the third time.

"Aren't you going to answer that...it might be important."

I excused my self from the table and went to answer the call. When I looked, who was calling my whole mood change in a quick.

"What do you want, Melina," I retorted.

"If you don't leave the restaurant right at this moment, I would go inside and make a big scandal."

"How do you know I in a restaurant...wait...are you stalking me "

"That none of your business...I told you that I don't want you to talk to Maddie anymore. She is the reason our family is going to get separated, and I don't want that for our baby. SO YOU BETTER LEAVE NOW "

I was about to tell her to mind her own business when she hangs up on me. I went back to the table and saw that Maddie was busy receiving a call. When I sat down and ask for the bill she something that I would never expect from her

"Don't worry about paying the bill. It's on the house."

"What do you mean on the house," said surprised

"My family owns the restaurant "

I was left with my mouth open. How come I didn't pay attention to how the staff was acting while she is here.

We both I got are stuff and went outside to wait for our cars...When Melina appeared

"Melina "

"How have you  been Maddie. Long time no see."
