Chapter 2: My accident

1120 Words
Two days passed and it was time for me to travel. I was traveling in a private jet. My ticket was reserved already. Early enough that morning, I discussed it with my husband before he left for the hospital. We did not stop kissing, loving it, but I had to leave for the airport or else I was going to be late. Joseph offered to give me a leave but I refused. I knew he was almost late and did not want him to arrive late, he was one of the pioneers and lateness was one thing he hated. “I promise I’m going to give you several kisses when I come back.” I said vividly. “I believe you, I’m equally going to spoil you with lots of gifts and kisses.” He said starkly. While I discussed it with my husband at the login of the living room, Carine had been observing us from the window of her room, all she wished was a spouse as mine, and not the good for nothing breast surgeon she had as a husband, he soon joined her to check on who she had been observing. He found out she had been looking at us. He reserved his comment and continued dressing up. My driver had just arrived, he hurriedly placed my luggage behind the car and I was about to get into the car, when my husband gave me a last kiss, he promised to come pick me up the day I was to come back. We arrived at the airport in 45 minutes. My pilot was with the co-pilot. They had been getting things ready for our departure. Soon enough, they got done and asked me to get in the private jet while they sorted out something. This time, Joseph was on his way to the hospital. He remembered the last conversation he had with Harold, who asked why he had not yet taken it upon himself to make children. Harold told him he had been selfish towards me for not wanting us to have kids. He thought of that and decided to give us a chance to have our own kids. “Yes. I think we will have our own kids even if we don’t have time to raise them up, they will be home with the nanny during the day and we will be with them in the evenings when we are back from work.” He said, all smiling. . “I should get to the airport now and let her know I’m willing to have kids now.” He said as he changed his direction. He took the road leading to the airport hoping to give me such news. But it was late. Joseph only arrived when my plane left. He could only perceive my plane right in the sky. He asked one of the workers who was working in the area if they had seen the private jet in which I was travelling in. The young guy made him understand we had left already. “I guess I’ll surprise her with that once she gets home.” He said flamingly. He returned to his car and left for the hospital. When he arrived, the first person he set eyes on was Harold. He was in his office with a client who wanted to operate her breast. He was a flirt, so he tried getting the ladies in contact but he was interrupted by Joseph, who asked to have a word with him. “Can’t that wait? I was having a conversation with my patient,” Harold said nervously. “We both know that you wanted her number, you are married for crying out loud. Please respect your wife, she needs some.” Joseph said vividly. “You said you wanted to talk to me, what’s it all about?” Harold said. “I thought of all that you said regarding me having kids with Jane, and I guess you were right. Every married couple should spare some time in having kids.” “I’m glad you took my advice. So did you have the time to inform her before she left?” He asked. “That’s the problem. I arrived late. Her plane left already. I will make it a surprise. I’m sure she will love to hear that,” Joseph said while smiling. At first, when Joseph proposed, we concentrated on our careers and forgot about having kids for the moment. I had no problem with that, but becoming a mid-wife changed my ideas. Helping the ladies birth their kids gave me a burning desire to have my own kids. I did not want to tell him because I thought he was going to feel differently. I only channeled that to Carine, who in turn told her Harold. I guess that’s the reason why he told Joseph. Two hours after our departure, we were out of Brazil, we were now in the grasslands heading for Argentina, but something happened. The pilot missed his direction, he was no longer able to control the plane. He called his agents and made them know about our situation. I could not imagine I was to have a plane accident. I was only 28 and was too young to die. Moreover, I had not even given birth to a single child. Was I going to die in that way? All I did was pray and pray, but yet my accident was inevitable. Our plane scratched in the middle of nowhere, a thick forest with numerous wild animals. There I went unconscious and had no idea of what happened to me........ A few hours later, I found myself on a bed. It was all tattered. I had no idea of where I found myself, with whom I was , neither did I remember my name. I had lost my memory. Seeing this man walk into the room in which I was got me nervous. He was an Indian with long hair looking much more like a mafia, though he looked unkept. Along side him was a young beautiful lady. I had no idea of who she was till I discovered later that she was his daughter. All terrified, I asked him not to come close to me. I wrapped my arms around myself, my skin chilled from the unforgiving cold. The teeth in my mouth chattered together relentlessly and uncontrollably and I couldn’t stop myself from shaking. He stopped where he was and told me he was the one who saved me, and for a moment I was puzzled. What was he talking about? “Saved me? And from what did you save me Sir?” I asked calmly.
