POV: Alpha Oliver
"What do you mean you can't get or grow the plant !? Isn't it just a f*****g plant!" I screamed at the young witch in front of me. I knew the moment it left my mouth I was being overly harsh.
This small 15-year-old girl in front of me is just an orphan that no coven was willing to take permanently. She came to my pack through her adoptive wolf father, who married one of my warriors. Her name Maigo, was the only thing she could remember when she was picked up by a coven. None wanted her because her name means lost, or stray child which to them was a curse. For 10 years she has bounced around from coven to coven then her adopt aunt married into a coven and convinced her brother to adoptive 14-year-old Maigo. She is still so scared and shy, I see tears in her eyes as she curled into a ball from my outburst. The covens she was in were not always very nice to 'cursed' children.
"Look I'm sorry, it's just my sons and almost every other wolf-born child in my pack are sick, is there really nothing we can do?" I sigh as Maigo just continues to cry.
"I'm sorry Alpha Sir, please don't kick me out" Maigo sobbed "There is no way unless someone who has been growing the Uli is willing to part with it. However, the plant is very expensive. And the wildland Berrie sickness is only an issue to your pack and the residents of Lern. Not only is it a sickness that is usually used as a weapon outside of Lern, but it is also very magic-consuming to grow. Most witches that grow it sell it for far more than this pack can afford for all the sick pups. It does grow wild in the Wild Lands but usually only very deep in and on faerie land. I'm sorry, I heard though that the Pack next door grows odd plants. "
"You really think a pack run by human 12-year-old twins will have what I need?!" I'm going to rip her apart! How could such a pack have such a resource! I know they said they would supply medical plants but this is too much for humans o be able to do!
"Hello, again Alpha Oli!" Jackson beamed while pulling a wagon with non-other than Minreila and what looked like a lot of jarred pink ooze.
"IS THAT ULI MEDICINE?!" Maigo screamed while grabbing a jar.
"Yes, it is the Fae WolfPacks duty to provide any and all medical support to the Crystal lake pack" Minreila spoke quietly.
Alpha she looks so worn out, she's pale with such dark bags do you think she actually made this? Came my beta, Kevin's voice through the mind link he had mind-linked everyone within the pack borders. No doubt in his surprise.
" I heard your children Elliote, Elijah, and possibly Eleanor are sick with wild Berrie sickness, this medicine should be more than enough for all infected. I am tired so we will be leaving now" Minreila was on Jacksons' back before her sentence was over, her head was down and eyes closed words slurring.
She truly looks sick, I answered my pack through the mind link, however, she has done us a great service so we must respect that and throw her and her twin a party when everyone is well, and if this medicine is not the real deal than we shall punish her and her twin brother for wasting our time.
"I know it's the real deal, thank you Alpha Minreila" Maigo bowed to the already asleep Minreila.
"Sorry about that, She is just really tired, I told her I would bring it myself as I am the one that told her my friends were sick and made her and Rowen work on this during this time. She really should have gone back to bed with Rowen, she's not trying to be rude really Sh-"
"It's okay, we understand she may come here in nothing but a nightgown, but we all know she is not purposely rude. She has done enough thank you Jackson take her home now, do you want someone to drive you?" I cut off his ramblings
"Can Mr. Beta Kevin drive us, I know him, and shouldn't get in a car with a stranger, no offense-"
"That is fine he will drive you back" I had never seen Jackson so flustered to talk in broken run-on sentences. He looks concerned for his sister. What did he mean about this time? It's 2 pm, do they nap? Or is there something else? My border patrol has not seen them out in over 4 days. They usually would walk the border of the territory and into the Wild Lands twice a day. There is something about them.
*3 days later* POV: Alpha Oliver
"It truly worked?"
"Yes Alpha all the infected pups are back on their feet, and we even have a reasonable amount left." Laura is my most trusted and current healer for the pack. If she truly believes the twin Alphas have saved our pups then I must agree.
"Thank you, I shall call them, Alpha to Alpha to arrange a party date leave now"
POV: Minreila
"Miss the phone is for you, it is Alpha Oliver" Mr. Renyold is as kind as ever, I don't know why he was known to be ruthless every word holds warmth for us.
"Okay!!"
"Hiya Alpha Oliver I heard the medicine worked I'm glad"
"Hello, Alpha Minreila who told you that?"
"What did you need? We are busy." Sister be more careful you'll make him start digging more into us than he already has my brother's look could kill as he mind-linked me privately.
" I'd like to hold a party as a thank you, at my pack to celebrate the pup's recovery. In 4 days time"
"Okay 4 days time, Can it be a 9 pm start time? We are a bit busy, Also can we bring our beta, brother, and a friend?" Sister, are you suggesting we give a show of our power, no longer be human? My brother's sly smile sending chills down my spine. Not quite brother just a little bit, enough to get him to start recognizing our pack.
"Okay, 9 pm start time, on Friday. You are welcome to bring four guests. Do you have any allergies? "
"We don't like seafood or spicy food. Just simple but tasty food. Also, we do get a bit itchy from coconut, but it is not serious, can I hang up now?"
"Yes goodbye"
POV: Alpha Oliver
She really just hung up without a goodbye, I wonder why they are so busy.
Their pack is small unless they are producing more medicine to restock?
And who told them the pups were okay, no one has left and I check all phone communications for leaks of such information. As other packs or rouges could use a pack pandemic as a chance to attack. I don't have time to think about this right now, I have a party to plan. It seems they really are just children if their food choices have anything to say.
