POV: Nora
"Jackson is asleep?" I ask my husband Kern.
"Yeah, I'm going to go put him in bed, pick something for us to watch kay?" I can't help but admire my husband as he carries our two-year-old son to his bed.
Today I discovered proof of other worlds than ours spread across the galaxy. But right now I believe my biggest accomplishment is marrying Duke Kern, and having our little baby boy. Silly, maybe but I can't help it. I may be a scientist but I am a mother first.
"Honey you didn't pick a show? Are you tired?"
"MM I was just thinking"
As Kern leans in to kiss me we hear a knock on our door.
"Who can be here at this time?" We live in a manor on the edge of Lern, without any walls. We have guards though that should stop people from getting near the door.
"Who knows let's answer it" Kern is not always the smartest so I follow him.
There on the door stoop is a big basket with a note on top. Our head butler Mr. Ruthen came up beside us as I grabbed the note.
"Hello, I can not tell you who I am or where I came from. My little sisters' name is Minreila, and her twin brother is Minrowen. They are roughly two months old. I would like you to adopt them. I watched how you treated your son, and hope you can do the same for my siblings. I have included a few books for them once they are older, you will know when to give them to them. I promise to come back for them someday, I will never forget them. I love them with all my heart. - Their big brother" I read aloud from the note, as if on cue that is when the twins began to cry.
