Quickly, Bestol opened his eyes and gasped for air as he looked around. He saw that he was on the couch in his living room and Mertheis sitting on a chair. Mertheis looked over at him, and Bestol looked at him with wide eyes.
“What happened?” he asked as he sat up too quickly.
