when we met
CHAPTER 1
Happening in the city of Lagos, in a very quite road at mid night, Mr Harrison still inside his car woke up from sleep after dreaming about his lost wife. This was due to stress from work. The dream was strange to him cause it happened a long time and now he is happily married.
it is a brand new day. Freedom, son of Mr Harrison woke up to prepare breakfast for the family. It was his father and mother's favorite meal. They all ate and left to their various destination for that day. Mary, wife of Mr Harrison and Mr Harrison himself left for work. freedom and his sister decided to go shopping later in the afternoon.
Entering one of the biggest supermarket shop called Mina supermarket, in the city where things like clothes,shoes,bags,jewelries, food stuffs,drinks, snacks, perfumes, and cream,etc, are being sold. While buying and walking around inside the shop, freedom and his sister saw a beautiful necklace worth 100k and wanted to buy it, although they didn't because it was too cheap for their taste.
Immediately they met a girl. This girl said to the salesperson "hey I told you I'll come back to buy it, why sell it out now". The salesgirl told her that it's not her fault but she runs her sales with the believe of first to come with money first to serve. The salesgirl continued "besides how I'm I even sure if you'd really come back to buy such an expensive thing". She shouted at the salesgirl that doesn't mean because she look that way means she can't afford money. Freedom laughs at them that are they really doing this. The girl looked at him with anger and scold him " really, if it weren't for you all this wouldn't have happened. I believe there are materials and things here made of gold and silver but of all you chose to buy this one, why do rich people always want to oppress the poor".
Melissa entered the talk "and who told you we were going to buy this cramp, how dare you talk to us like that, you miserable egret, do you know who we are". They began to exchange words with each other. Security guards came and discharged them after all.
When jenny the girl got home she narrated everything to her Friend Bella that she was unable to buy the necklace. Bella was sad cause she wanted it as a gift for her mum's birthday coming very soon.
On the other side after Melissa and freedom got home they told their parents everything that happened in the supermarket too. They started condemning the poor people of their life style.
Waking up from sleep in the morning Melissa and freedom saw that their parents are planning to go on a business trip to China. It was sad for Melissa cause there will be limit of demands from her parents especially her mother who always give her whatever she wants. She tried to stop only her mum from going but her dad refused.
Jenny and her friend were out of bread, so later in the afternoon jenny went to buy in the same supermarket of before. Freedom sighted the same girl of before buying bread and then went to meet her. He asked her "are you stalking me", and she replied
" what, me.., you're the one who came to me"
"oh wait, don't tell me you came to buy this bread too".
Freedom burst into laughter. Jenny asked him why he was laughing and he told her she's funny and cute too. Jenny had a moment of silence after hearing this then immediately she kicked freedom on his leg and ran away. It really hurts freedom but he enjoyed the moment.
"what.."
Melissa yelled, she was surprised to hear what freedom told her that he's crushing on the stubborn girl. Melissa said to him that the stubborn girl is poor,dirty and so cheap to be his type. Freedom asked her that if that girl is truly very poor then how did she managed to get 100k to buy a necklace. Melissa told him that it could be possible that she stole the money. Freedom said he don't think so, that she seems to be a hardworking girl and ended up by saying that the girl might be stubborn but she's beautiful both inside and out, then he left to his room.
Melissa was mind talking after freedom left, saying,
"Freedom I will never let you and that girl be together cause it will ruin our family's reputation, therefore I will kill that love, just watch and see".
Jenny told her friend Bella that the jerk told her she's funny and cute. Bella asked " but I thought you said the other day that this same guy and a girl were quarrelling with you to the extent that it almost got into a fight between you and the girl with him, so what's now up with him". Jenny said she don't know why rich people behave so immature at times.
Later in the day, jenny just came from the supermarket and she look lost in thoughts. Bella noticed it and then asked her what's up with her strange face. She said what happened to her at the supermarket was strange to her that a man and a security guard went to her and collected her phone number. She said she told them she wouldn't give it to them but they said they wouldn't let her go either until she gives the phone number to them, so she did and left.
immediately while talking with Bella, her phone received a text message and when she read it, it says meet us tomorrow in Mina restaurant at 4pm, from Mina supermarket manager. Bella told her not to get it wrong that she must go, she told jenny that it might be a gathering of gift collection cause the Mina supermarket does gift people things most times.
When it was that day they went and saw it was really gifting day by Mina supermarket. While the gifting was still going on, Bella and jenny were walking around outside by the pool side. Immediately, someone called "hey!! stubborn!!!". It was freedom, when Bella and jenny turned to look, mistakenly Jenny's leg slipped over the pool and she fell inside.
