Hard Time

CHAPTER 9

"you know what", Bella said.

"what?", jenny asked.

"I just wish you two were never cousins", Bella said.

"oh stop it Bella, you've started again, there is nothing to do to change the fact that we are cousin", jenny said to her.

Bella then looked at jenny being serious and asked her if she still love freedom. She told her, of course I don't hate freedom and Bella smiled and said, "no girl, I mean the love! love!!". jenny looked at Bella and told her she's not serious, then she went to bed.

It getting late at night and Mrs Mary isn't home yet, Mr Harrison, freedom and melissa were wondering especially Mr Harrison who think something is not right. Mrs Mary never go home late, she always call to inform them whenever she know she will go home at late hour but this time, there's no sign of her not even a call. Her phone's switched off, they couldn't reach her so they decided to split themselves to go look for her. They took their own different car. After three of them left, kira took some fried chicken with a chilled juice to enjoy herself alone in the big mansion. She didn't care that Mrs Mary's not yet home at that time of the night.

They were unable to find her so they went back home. It's morning already and Mrs Mary still haven't return. They reported to the police to help them with the search. Before the police started the search, they called the whole family to investigate and ask them questions, to see if anybody is guilty of Mrs Mary disappearance. Freedom was the first, they asked him if he noticed anything strange about his mother before she went missing. Freedom said "no, it was just the normal way we used to be, wake up in the morning, greet each other, eat together and go out. she looked fine and okay like nothing bad was never going to happen".

When it was Melissa's turn they asked her about her mum and she said,

"my mother never go home late, she always call to tell us if she's not going to come home early and even though something urgent came up at work that she want to travel she will tell my dad even if she don't want to tell me and my brother, but this... this is not like my mother, I think she's really missing, and I don't want anything bad to happen to her. please officer help me look for my mother".

The policeman saw how pitiful she was then told her not to worry that they will do their best.

Mr Harrison's turn, "officer I think my wife has been kidnapped". The police officer asked him if his wife have any grudges with anyone and Mr Harrison said, "my wife is not a trouble some person, I can remember vividly that she have never quarrel or fight with anyone ever since we got married". The police officer asked him who he think is responsible, or if he have a suspect and he said he's not sure that he don't know.

When it was kira's turn they asked her and she said, "well, I don't really know but for some time now, I mean ever since I've been in that house I know she's always happy, feeling good and normal, but I noticed something different about her lately like she was hiding something, even the night before the day she disappeared, we were all having dinner, everyone was talking and laughing, but Mrs Mary she didn't say anything, she was just there eating. She was just looking at everybody as if something was bothering her. Nobody noticed it except me, I wanted to ask her at that moment but I just felt maybe she was very tired after coming from work that day".

It's already two days and the police are still searching. There were no reports that Mr Mary was found elsewhere. Bella called and asked jenny if she heard about freedom's mother, jenny asked her what's about freedom's mum and Bella responded that Mrs Mary is missing. Jenny felt very sad when she heard it, so she decided to go see Melissa and freedom after work to confirm.

"who are you and why did you bring me here", Mrs Mary asked the boys standing in front of her, they were putting on masks with black clothes. One of them said to her, "i***t, we didn't just bring you here, we kidnapped you". Mrs Mary began to cry and started begging them to let her go for her children's sake. One of the boys who is very short among them said to her,

"oh just look at me, I don't have a mother but I'm still alive, so don't worry if you die today your children will still be fine without you", and then they all burst into laughter while Mr marry was still crying.

While they were still in the big dark building, they received a call that their boss's coming, so they were a blindfold on Mrs Mary so that she can see the boss face. When their boss came he told his boys not to let the old woman fear that they should talk less with her until the mission is completed. Mrs Mary recognized the voice somehow but don't actually know who and can't remember where she heard that voice. she said,

"wait, your voice, it sounds familiar, who are you and what mission are you talking about...tell me, what do you want!!!", she started shouting and crying then the boss left and the boys tied her.

Jenny, freedom and Melissa were seating close to the pool in Mina's restaurant. Is it true that your mother is missing, jenny asked freedom and Melissa and they told her yes that they've not seen or hear from her for the past four days, but if it is really possible that she was kidnapped, at least the kidnappers would have called for money. Jenny asked them that if she's not kidnapped then why haven't she call to tell them where she probably is. Freedom kept quiet feeling sad. Melissa started crying and said, "jenny I don't know, if anything bad happen to my mother I don't know if I'll be able to live". Jenny rests Melissa's head on her shoulder and began to calm her. Freedom kept feeling sad and angry, he's disappointed at himself cause he was unable to protect his mother from the start.

Kira was looking for freedom and Melissa at the restaurant. She asked one of the salesgirl which is Bella if she saw Mr Harrison's children and Bella told her they are by the pool outside. Kira ordered some ice cream for freedom and Melissa and brought it to them.

"I know I'll found you guys here, want some ice cream", kira said to them.

Freedom replied, "I don't want your f*****g damn ice cream".

She asked Melissa if she wants some but Melissa didn't answer her, she didn't even looked at kira but just ignored as if nobody was standing there. Jenny was just quite to prevent kira from saying harsh and mean words to her. Kira said, "you know what, never mind I'll just throw them away", she really threw them away and left thinking someone will answer and call her back but no one did and she left shamefully to herself.
