The Lie

CHAPTER 7

Melissa went to meet freedom who is seating by the pool and asked freedom, "are you sure you really want to do this". Freedom asked do what and she said, "are you sure you really want to marry kira". Freedom told Her yes. Melissa said, "but you don't love her". Freedom told her that the only person he loved has moved on so he have no choice but just to move on as well after all it will make father to be happy, then Melissa said to him, "it's not about father but you, your happiness". Then she went inside.

Freedom was about to go to bed when kira left her room and went to freedom's room to tell him lies. She told freedom that Raymond called and told her that he will be sleeping with jenny tonight. Freedom lost peace of mind after hearing what kira said to him. He couldn't sleep, he was furious about what he heard and can't wait till when morning comes.

Freedom woke up from bed with anger and called Raymond to ask him where he is and then Raymond told him that he's at the gym with their friends. Freedom rushed there immediately after the call and when he got there he lost his temper then squeezed Raymond's shirt and said, "do you think Jenny's some kind of a dog that you can just play around with, even though we are not together anymore she's still my cousin".

Raymond said, "you just said it, Jenny's your cousin, so are you going to marry her?". Freedom replied, "I never said you can't marry her but I'm just trying to be responsible, if anything bad dares happen to jenny I swear I wouldn't let you off". Raymond said to him, "i can see you are jealous, you should be ashamed of yourself pal, it is not in your place to decide what jenny wants for her", then freedom rushed to give him a punch on the face and then their friends came to hold and stop them from fighting. Freedom left with anger as he was unable to deal with Raymond very well. He was on a very high speed while driving his car to go hear Jenny's side of the matter. Unknowingly to freedom and jenny, jenny was about to cross to the supermarket side after she went to meet Bella at the restaurant, then freedom accidentally hit her out of the way with the car. She flew from that spot to a long distance and hit her head on the ground. She became unconscious, it was very bad, she got serious injuries and was bleeding. Freedom came back to his normal senses when he realized that he hit someone. When he saw that it was jenny he didn't hesitate to come out of the car, then he quickly ran to where jenny was lying and carried her on his arms. 911 were just right on time after someone among the people who witness the accident called them and they quickly rushed jenny to the hospital.

Freedom called and told Melissa about everything and they both went to the hospital. After some check ups and treatment by the doctor, he told freedom and Melissa who were there for jenny, that the injury on her head's very bad and it's bleeding inside, so jenny have to stay in a coma. Melissa was about to cry then she begged the doctor to save Jenny's life at all cost, then the doctor told them that he will do his best.

Late hour at night Bella was calling jenny to ask her where she is but was not picking up. The nurse took the phone and gave it to freedom that it was ringing in Jenny's pocket. Freedom told Melissa that it will be better to go tell Bella about jenny then Melissa went. When Melissa got there she knocked and Bella quickly rushed to open the door thinking it was jenny, but later saw that it was Melissa. When she saw that Melissa's like who's not in a good mood, she noticed that something bad has happened but couldn't figure it out. Then she asked Melissa what she's doing there at that time of the night. Melissa, who is almost crying said,

"Bella, jen..jenny.."

Bella asked anxiously, "what, what happened to jenny".

Melissa continued, "jenny had an accident and she's at the hospital right now, she's in a very critical condition, the doctor said she has a wound on her head bleeding inside so she needs to stay in a coma".

Bella cried, "no.., no way that can't be true, jenny left me this morning, how can you say that, no.. way". They left to the hospital and when Bella saw jenny in the hospital bed she started crying more and more. Later, Melissa went to freedom and asked him how everything happened. Freedom told her that he went to meet Raymond to stop having s*x with jenny. He continued,

"I really got angry that he was talking back at me and wanted to beat him up but our friends stopped us, I decided to come hear Jenny's side of the matter, on my way going to meet her I didn't know where she was coming from, and then the next thing I saw was.., I knocked her down, although it was all my fault cause I was on a very high speed". Bella who was hearing from behind said,

"did I just hear you right, jenny having s*x, with whom?, Raymond.. who is Raymond in the first place".

Freedom asked her that don't she know Jenny's new boyfriend, then Bella told him that jenny don't have any boyfriend let alone s****l partner. Melissa asked freedom that is he really sure cause the only person that knows about Jenny's ware about to the brim is Bella and if Bella says jenny don't have a boyfriend then it's true. Freedom was confused and couldn't say anything, then he left.

Freedom went home to meet kira and asked her,

"kira I'm going to ask you just one question and all I need is no lies but the truth".

Kira told him to go ahead and ask her anything. He asked her that is jenny and Raymond's relationship really true or false. Kira lied and told him that how can she know that all she know is that Raymond always call to tell her that he's always having s*x with jenny. Then he asked kira that how come Jenny's friend don't know about it that she don't even know who raymond is. Kira said to him that she don't know that it will be better for him to go ask jenny or Raymond instead.

He later went back to the hospital and asked Bella if jenny always goes out in the night. Bella told him that jenny never left home both day and night except going to work. Hearing all this, he realized and regret his actions then went to meet jenny while she was still asleep and unconscious. He hold her hands, saying in his mind that jenny should forgive him for not believing her in the first place and for making her be in that condition. He was seriously crying in his mind. When Bella and Melissa saw the way freedom was holding and looking at jenny, Bella asked Melissa if she think Freedom still likes jenny, then Melissa said she think so.

It's almost sunset, Melissa went home as well as Bella who went home to freshen up and later came back to look after jenny. When she came back she saw Freedom resting his head on Jenny's bed and was sleeping, then she woke him up and said to him,

"aren't you supposed to be at home with your family by now its getting late".

He replied to her that Jenny's still his family and told Bella not worry about him sleeping there.
