The Infinite

“Everything will end.. There will only be destruction, blood and chaos.. No one have the power to change what’s already written in their fates.. Everything! Will come to an end.. When the sun will go down, When the dark night will arrive" he paused “But don’t worry..”  A butterfly flew to her and sat on her finger.. “The sun will rise again” She heard the voice of an old man that echoed, saying those words with a dry and trembling voice.. She glanced around but there was no one.. She was standing alone in a unknown forest.. The voice of that old man stopped and that butterfly turn into a stone and fell on the ground, shattering in many pieces.. She sat down on the grass looked at those small pieces of stones with a worried look.. “Don’t worry.. I believe that the things will change.. Even if i have to go down in the flames and turn in ashes or even if I have to pierce this sword right through my heart, but i refuse to let this be the end..”  Suddenly another voice said and those pieces of stones stick back together, and the butterfly was alive again.. That voice belonged to a women who sounds like she was in pain yet she was saying those words with a lot of hope.. “Promise me.. Promise me that you’ll wait, for a new beginning.. Don’t cry.. Don’t think as if the sun won’t ever rise again.. Remember, This is not the end” The voice stopped the butterfly begin to fly away.. She tried to follow it but ended up getting lost.. She saw a figure standing far away from her.. She couldn't tell what it was cause it was way too blurry .. Soon everything turned black and she was back again at the real world.. .. Kaoru finally woke up from a deep sleep.. She have been having this dream for past few weeks.. The dream usually ends where she begin to follow that butterfly but today she saw a figure.. Her dream was getting clear day by day.. As if it have some hidden message for her, yet she still choose to ignore it all thinking that its just a normal dream.. She got up and went downstairs.. Albus, Her older brother who’s going to become the next King was already there reading a book, ready to leave .. She sat down and greeted him.. “You’re awake.. I thought you were dead by the way you were sleeping” Albus said without looking at her.. Kaoru loved going out and visiting new places.. Today Albus was supposed to visit some town to visit the villagers.. Something extremely important came up and he have to go somewhere else.. Visiting the villagers was just as important as the other one.. But it was impossible for him to go to two different places at the same time..  Their father, the King Emyr was already out of town.. In the end he decided to send Kaoru as his replacement to visit the village that was kinda far from their town.. And he himself will visit the other place.. Kaoru was excited since she never went out of the town.. But today she finally got the chance to go out.. “You better not make any mistakes” Albus said to her younger sister.. Kaoru nodded.. He closed the book and walked away, with some guards following him.. Kaoru ate breakfast and get ready as fast as she could.. There were already some guards waiting for her.. Soon they all left to visit the village.. After a long ride they finally reached the village.. Kaoru was happily thinking that they are here to provide food and other sovereigns to the villagers but their general commander had some other intentions that Kaoru was unaware of.. While Kaoru was busy giving food and clothes to the angels who lived in that village, the general commander was in the forest trying to find some demons with low powers so they can capture them.. That was the truth that was hidden from Kaoru ever since she was born .. A 400 year old angel who was still too innocent and unaware of the reality of her own kind.. They capture weak or young demons and either make them their slaves or either kill them and use their Fangs, wings, blood, brain and heart for different purposes.. The blood of a demon have strong healing powers.. They planned to spend the night in that village since they all got tired from travelling.. There was a rule of that village. It was not allowed to step into the forest that was near the village.. It was known as The forest of Devils.. At the day only angels who have high powers can visit that place but as the sun goes down even the angels with high powers couldn’t enter that place .. There was a rumor that at night The Queen of Demons visits that place at night.. No one knew how she looked like or what her name was.. She was just known as “The Queen of Demons” or “The Devil Queen”.. The angels who ever got a chance to see her, are now either dead or missing and their causes of deaths and disappearance is still unknown.. Kaoru knew that a forest like that existed but she didn’t knew that it was the one right in front of her.. She didn’t knew that one day she’ll be stepping into that forest out of her love for nature.. She wasn’t feeling sleepy so she decided to take a walk.. She entered the forest.. It wasn’t dark.. The big silver moon was lighting her way up with its bright moonlight was guiding her to her destination.. She walked deeper into the forest without even knowing, distracted by the beauty of that mysterious forest.. There were many flowers there, shinning under the moonlight.. The slow and calming sound of water coming from a lake nearby.. Princess Kaoru was busy in admiring the beauty of nature when she heard noise of people talking to each other.. Kaoru followed the voice and saw 3 men who was kind of looking familiar.. She walked closer and realized that they were the people who came along with her, the General Commander and his 2 juniors.. They were shocked to see her here.. “What are you doing here princess” One of the junior asked.. “I wasn’t feeling sleepy so i wanted to take a walk for a while.. What are you guys doing here” she asked “Princess, please go back this is not a safe place.. This is the..” he was cut of by a voice.. “The forest of devils” A voice that was unfamiliar to the other but to Kaoru she felt like she heard it somewhere but she couldn’t remember where.. They all turned around to see a women in a long black coat.. That women was in her human form so they couldn’t tell who she was.. They could only see her dark black hair and red lips.. The rest of her face was covered with hood.. The Commander and his juniors stood in front of Kaoru in order to protect the princess and took out their swords and pointed them at the mysterious woman.. She chuckled and took her hood off and smiled that looked more like a sarcastic smile.. “Chill guys" “Who are you” The commander general yelled.. “Geez why you’re screaming I’m right here in front of you” she said.. “Captain asked you something answer him!” A junior said.. “I know i heard him as well.. I was just asking why was he screaming.. Anyways what are y’all doing here” she asked them completely ignoring their question.. “IT SHOULD BE NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS” the other junior said.. “Damn you guys are even louder than those stupid noisy mortals” she laughed.. “If its the forest of Devils.. Then.. Maybe we all should get out of here” Kaoru said while looking nervously at all of them.. “Hey Shortie.. Didn’t knew that you were there as well.. Well that's what will happen if you stand behind these three.. They’re basically giants in front of you” she said.. “HEY DON'T YOU DARE DISRESPECT OUR PRINCESS” Their commander said.. “Princess? Oh interesting.. Nice to meet you.. Princess Kaoru” she said with a smirk.. “It was nice meeting you too.. How do you know me?” she said with a small smile.. “Princess! Don’t be so friendly.. She could be one of those ugly insects.. The demons” The commander said.. That mysterious women’s smile disappeared and she being to glare at him deadly.. But soon she stopped as she heard “Hey don’t say that.. How many times I have to tell you not to call them that .. Its rude” She looked at Kaoru, she couldn’t believe what she just heard.. It was unbelievable does that means that their might be a chance for peace? Her thoughts were interrupted by Kaoru asking her “Um.. May i know who you are?” she asked her politely.. She just gave her a small smile but soon it disappeared as she felt the crystal in her hand vibrate.. “They’re getting closer” she thought.. The royals from the angels have a white colored crystal that vibrates and begin to glow when their kind, the angels are somewhere near them.. Same with the demons.. The only difference is that the demon’s crystal is black.. “Well you guys shouldn’t be here” she turned around “If y’all don’t want to die get out as soon as possible.. Don’t say that i didn’t warned you” she said with a strict tone.. She looked back at the crystal and it was glowing more brightly.. The Commander saw the crystal and his eyes widen as he screamed “She’s the Devil Queen!!” They all drew out their swords at her and rush forward to attack at her.. The commander was the one who was in the front and his juniors were behind him.. In the blink of an eye the commander who was trying to attack her was now on the ground and there was an arrow that pierced through his skull.. His juniors who were ready to attack at the Devil Queen with eagerness to kill her were now looking at their dead commander, frozen and unable to move.. The Devil Queen didn’t even flinched as if she was aware that something like this would happen.. Meanwhile innocent princess Kaoru who was unaware of all this bloodshed stuff were standing pale.. “I warned you” The Devil Queen mumbled.. “KILL THEM!” A voice echoed from not so far.. The juniors were terrified and wanted to run for their lives but still they had the responsibility of the princess.. One of them grabbed princess’s hand and the three of them begin to run.. The arrows were being shot at them from different directions.. The sound of laughter of some demons were echoing though the forest but there was no one at the sight.. It was getting darker which meant that they were running in the wrong direction and leading themselves deeper into the forest.. One of those junior fell down as an arrow pierce through heart.. Soon, same happened to the other one.. Now it was just Kaoru, running for her life, all alone.. Tears were falling down from her face as she kept running, until it was the dead end.. She took a deep breath and turned around.. She closed her eyes as she was ready embrace the death but deep down inside she was screaming for help.. She knew that an arrow will come and take her life but it never came.. She opened her eyes to see a pair of black dark eyes staring deep into her soul.. The pair of eyes that may look scary at first but if you look at them close enough you can see a lot of secrets hidden in there.. A pair of eyes that one might fear from but crave to get to know them a little bit more the same time.. It was the Devil Queen standing in front of her..  An arrow suddenly showed up.. It was aimed towards princess Kaoru but the Queen caught it midway in the air without even turning around.. Kaoru flinched as she realized that that arrow was on her way to take her life.. Queen threw the arrow away and kept looking in the eyes of the angel.. “Run” the Queen said quietly to Kaoru.. “What-!?” she couldn’t believe what she heard.. “Run.. To the left.. Don't stop” she said again quietly and turned around.. “Why..” princess thought as she nodded and begin to run to the left.. Some demons tried to follow Kaoru but Queen raised her hand and motioned them to not to.. A demon commander who was in his 50’s and had a long beard and a lot of scars stepped ahead.. “Are we just going to let her go like this?” He said while bowing down in front of their queen.. “I’ve made my decision” Queen said without looking at him.. “But-“ he was cut of by the Devil Queen.. “By any chance, Do you doubt my decision” she said as she looked at him with a cold look.. “Oh no no.. I can’t even think about doubting our Queen..” he paused as he looked up with his complete pitch black eyes because of his demon form and smirked and continued “I know that our Queen is fully aware what she must and must not do.. Am i right your majesty?’’ The Queen just looked at him and ignored his words.. She motioned the other demons to follow her and they obeyed.. The Queen decided to fly back to the castle and the other demons followed..  On the hand, Kaoru kept running and running along with hundreds of thoughts in her mind.. "Why.. Why did she do that".. She kept running as fast as her legs could take her.. Soon she saw a glimpse of light.. She could hear the voice of the villagers.. “LOOK PRINCESS IS COMING.. HURRY UP.. THAT WAY..” one of them shouted as he saw Kaoru.. Kaoru was happy that she finally made it back alive, she was sad but she just saw 3 people die in front of her,confused about why Devil Queen helped her and curious about those black eyes that just saved her life.. At first she thought that Devil Queen might have misguided her to lead her deeper into the forest but something inside her was denying that.. Something inside her wanted to believe her, believe that she wont hurt her.. “If she wanted to kill us, why did she waited for other demons.. She’s the Devil Queen who’s able to separate the flesh and bones of a person in a blink of an eye” she thought.. The words of the Demon Queen rang inside her head.. “Run..” “I warned you” “To the left.. Don’t stop” “Get out of here as soon as possible” Her legs couldn’t run anymore.. She was tired.. She felt dizzy.. She kept running until her legs gave up and she fell down.. Princess Kaoru remembered those eye staring deep into her souL and soon everything went black..
