The ride back to the cabin was silent and heavy. I sat behind Ryker as always, arms wrapped around his waist, but the usual comfort of his body felt strained. The rogue Alphas rode in tight formation around us, their bikes roaring like distant thunder. Draco kept slightly behind the others, his face shadowed. No one spoke.
