Chapter 10

The safe house erupted into controlled chaos the moment the widow's call ended. One hour. That was all we had before the ritual at the old Silver Moon pack house began and the engineered hybrid pup accelerated into a weapon built from my stolen blood. I stood in the center of the room, wet red dress clinging to every curve, surgeon's coat dripping onto the concrete floor. Leo slept safely in the secured side room, guarded by two trusted prospects, but his safety felt paper-thin. Ryker paced like a caged predator, golden eyes blazing. "We ride now. Full force. I'll tear the widow apart before she pushes that thing out." Jax slammed a fresh magazine into his pistol, stepping too close to me, his body heat cutting through the chill of my damp clothes. "Not that simple. The old pack is a fortress. We need a plan, not a suicide charge." His hand brushed my hip deliberately, fingers lingering. "And Rhea stays protected. The four of us can flank..." Kai cut in, moving to my other side, his palm flattening boldly over my lower back. "She's not staying behind. She's the only one who can counter the hybrid DNA in real time. But she doesn't go in alone." His thumb traced small circles on my skin through the wet fabric, sending unwanted sparks racing up my spine. "We'll surround her. Touch her. Remind her what a real pack feels like when this is over." Zane and Draco closed in without a word, their hands joining the others- Zane's fingers grazing my thigh, pushing the red dress higher, Draco's chest pressing against my back. Four rogue Alphas, pact long shattered, now openly circling me with raw hunger. Their touches grew bolder in the urgency of the moment, palms roaming my waist, my arms, my hips. Heat flooded my body, traitorous and intense. After years of being discarded, being wanted this desperately by my brother's best friends and the cursed King who once chained- was a dangerous drug. Ryker snarled and yanked me out of their hands, spinning me into his chest. "Enough, she's mine," he growled into my lips. "The rest of you ride as muscle or stay here and guard the pup." I moved away from his grip. "Stop fighting over my body like it's your territory. We have fifty-five minutes. I have a plan." I moved to the table, spreading out a rough map of the old pack house. My surgeon's mind clicked into focus. "The ritual room is in the central hall. The widow will be vulnerable during active labor. I'll pose as the summoned surgeon - Darius still thinks I might submit. While I counter the hybrid DNA with a suppressant cocktail I prepared weeks ago, you five create a distraction. Hit the perimeter hard. Jax and Kai take the east flank. Zane and Draco the west. Ryker, you come in with me through the south entrance once the alarms trigger." The rogue Alphas exchanged glances, hunger still burning in their eyes, but they nodded. Jax stepped close again, his hand sliding along my arm. "And after we win? You owe us a conversation, Rhea. Naked. On your knees. Choosing." Kai's breath ghosted my ear. "Or we make the choice messy and pleasurable until you can't think straight." Draco growled low. " We've been patient long enough. Your scent is driving us insane." Ryker's eyes flashed black. "The only knees she'll be on are mine." The tension spiked again, five powerful males vibrating with dominance and desire. I wanted to use their obsession as a weapon, but the queen inside me fought to keep control. "Focus," I snapped, voice sharp. "Or we all lose tonight." We geared up in record time. I changed into fresh tactical gear- black pants, reinforced surgeon's coat over a tight top that still hinted at the red beneath. Leo was left with heavy protection. Then we rode. The convoy screamed through the night, bikes roaring like thunder. I rode behind Ryker again, arms wrapped around his solid frame, the wind whipping my hair. The rogue Alphas flanked us, their eyes constantly finding me in the mirrors. At a brief stop to check weapons ten minutes out, the tension boiled over again. Ryker pulled me off the bike and into the shadows of an abandoned overpass. His hands everywhere. "When this is over," he rasped, fingers digging into my ass, "I'm chaining you to my bed again. But this time you'll beg to stay." Before I could respond, Jax appeared. "We all get a turn tonight, Queen. Feel how hard we are for you." I rolled my eyes at them and walked away. We mounted up again and rode the final stretch. The old pack house loomed ahead - dark, fortified, lights glowing from the central ritual hall. Howls rose from the perimeter as our arrival was spotted. Ryker killed the engine at the treeline. "Positions. Rhea stays with me until we breach." But as we moved forward on foot, my phone vibrated silently in my pocket. A new message from an unknown number. I glanced down while the others prepared. 'The hybrid isn't just from your blood. It carries Ryker's curse too. If you counter it...the cursed will rebound and kill him. Choose: save your son and lose your king, or let the hybrid live and watch both pups destroy everything.' My blood turned to ice. Ryker noticed my hesitation, golden eyes narrowing. "What is it?" The other Alphas closed in, sensing the shift, their hands brushing me again in silent support - or claim. Darius's voice boomed from the pack house speakers. "Time's up, Rhea. The widow is in active labor. Come inside alone or the ritual completes without you and both pups die screaming." The perimeter alarms blared. Wolves poured out. And I stood frozen with the impossible choice burning in my hand. Save my son and doom Ryker? Or risk everything on one final strike? The queen had seconds to decide and every Alpha around me was ready to force their own version of victory.
