Chapter 1
Allen White had only ever seen beautiful women on television. For the first time, he found the sleeping woman before him truly stunning.Inside the dilapidated factory filled with garbage and broken machines, the light was dim. Looking out the window, there was nothing but pitch-black darkness, not a single glimmer of light to be seen.Allen, his breath reeking of alcohol, had a splitting headache. He opened his eyes groggily, unsure how long he had been asleep, let alone where the hell he was.Hank had sent him down the mountain to find Leah, giving him only one month. Coming down the mountain for the first time, he couldn't help but feel a sense of freedom and liberation. He had drunk a bit too much in a small town he passed through, his head spun, and everything after that was a blur.He hadn't expected the alcohol down the mountain to be so potent. He had only a little and then blacked out.The woman before him was asleep, her long hair covering half of her breathtakingly beautiful face. Her figure had the perfect golden ratio, and Allen, a country boy who had just come down the mountain and might still blush at the sight of a woman, couldn't help but steal a few more glances. Her hands were cuffed behind her back, and her feet were bound with rope. He wanted to wake this stranger, but after several attempts, he failed. This rundown place looked like the middle of nowhere, exactly the kind of setting he had seen on TV for criminal hideouts. Allen couldn't help but worry that this woman might be doomed. As for himself, he was just a country boy coming into the city with only a few hundred dollars. Having just come down the mountain, he couldn't have offended anyone, so he had nothing to worry about. After waiting about half an hour, the woman finally woke up with a groan, rubbing the back of her head."Finally awake?" Allen asked softly. His words were like a bomb. The woman jolted upright and, seeing the stranger not far away, demanded aggressively, "Who... who are you?""Come on, do you really need to ask? Being in a place like this at the same time means we're both in danger. Fellow sufferers, I'd say," Allen drawled with a sigh.Seeing that Allen's hands and feet were bound, the woman relaxed slightly. She rubbed her legs, stood up, and walked to the door, pulling at it hard several times. The locked door didn't budge. She tried calling out to see if anyone was there. No one answered; only the howling wind could be heard outside."Save your energy," Allen said from the ground. When all her efforts proved futile, this woman—this golden girl of the Silver Bay City shopping malls, the dream goddess of countless people—collapsed helplessly onto the w**d-strewn floor, forgetting all about her germophobia. She had been kidn*pped, and the implications were clear. The kidnappers must be after the Montgomery family's Peak Group, or perhaps some other dark secret. Either way, Isabella Montgomery could only envision a grim fate. She was physically weak and couldn't escape. The only person nearby was a young man, and she couldn't rely on him. Her mind raced, trying to figure out what to do, completely ignoring Allen. It was only then that Allen could vaguely see the woman's full appearance. Her beauty perfectly matched his imagination of a beautiful woman, even surpassing the level of "disastrous beauty."He had never quite understood the idea of going to war for a beautiful woman or losing a kingdom for one. But when he saw this woman, Allen understood: if he truly fell in love with her, he would probably do anything for her, no matter the cost.Thump, thump, thump!Heavy footsteps sounded outside the door, and the lights in the outer room flicked on. Through the c***k in the door, he could clearly see seven or eight burly men outside, armed with weapons—machetes, pistols, everything."Shh, someone's coming!" Allen warned.Isabella's body trembled involuntarily as she looked at Allen in despair."Pretend to be asleep. Let's see what's going on first," Allen whispered.Isabella understood immediately. She lay back in the pile of weeds and pretended to be asleep. The door opened, and a man walked in, shining a flashlight around. Seeing nothing amiss, he locked the door again. The two could clearly hear the key turning in the lock and the conversation of the men outside. One man said, "Brute Ox, that kid's still out cold. Isabella Montgomery is still asleep. Probably too much sedative; the effect hasn't worn off yet. Brute Ox, what do we do with these two?"Another gruff voice replied, "That kid looks pretty healthy and young. A drunk we picked up on the road, basically free money. Tomorrow morning, take him to the Alley Clinic, sell both his kidneys, and all the other organs too. That's an easy few hundred thousand.""What about... the woman?" the first man asked again."This woman's in a special situation. We took this job to make money, of course. Victor Yates just called. We'll wait until tomorrow morning to decide.""Brute Ox, she's so beautiful. It'd be a shame to just let her go," the man said lecherously.Brute Ox laughed and cursed, "You don't know a thing. Mr. Yates has given orders. Get the hoods ready, don't show your faces. Cameras, video recorders, all ready. Soon, everyone gets a turn, one by one. Make sure the photos are clear. But listen, no matter what you do, don't hurt the woman. Other than that, do whatever you want.""Brute Ox, wow, don't worry, we got it!""Haha, I'm gonna be rich!""Brute Ox, we can't wait..."The sounds of wolfish howls came from outside. Inside the room, Allen was fine, but Isabella's body was trembling. She had heard everything clearly—unless a miracle happened, she knew exactly what her fate would be: defiled by these scumbags and animals, with photos and videos taken to threaten her...She dared not think about what would come after. She clutched her head, completely hopeless."Are... are you okay?" Allen whispered.Isabella suddenly looked up, her deep, desperate eyes fixed on Allen. After a full minute, she regained her composure: "What's your name?""Allen... Allen White!" The intensity of her gaze gave Allen goosebumps, and he stammered slightly.Isabella crawled quietly to Allen, getting close to him: "Listen to me. I'd rather die than let those scumbags defile me. So, I'm giving you my first time.""You're crazy!" That was Allen's first reaction. Even as he said it, he was stunned by the woman's beautiful face and her words. This country bumpkin from the mountains who had little experience with women was completely overwhelmed."There's not much time. At least you're a living person with some conscience. Better you than those scumbags. If you get out alive, find my parents and tell them I love them very much." By now, Isabella couldn't even cry anymore—ordinarily, she would be sobbing uncontrollably. Her bloodshot eyes stared at Allen as she quickly sat down on his lap."You... calm down..."Before Allen could finish, the footsteps grew closer. Isabella slapped him across the face, biting her lip in despair until blood dripped. She closed her eyes one last time, and when she opened them, hearing the key turn in the lock, she suddenly stood up, hesitated no longer, and lunged headfirst toward the opposite wall. Before he could even think "holy s**t," Allen sprang forward, grabbing Isabella's arm just before her head hit the wall. He barely managed to pull her back.Did they really think a pair of handcuffs could hold him? Not a chance. The only reason he hadn't acted immediately was because he didn't know the situation outside or the kidnappers—they had guns. If he acted rashly, his chances of escape would drop significantly. He had been trying to figure out a way to save the woman, but before he knew it, she had completely given up and tried to kill herself. He quickly pulled Isabella close, covered her mouth, placed her beside him, and lay back down, pretending they were both still asleep. The door opened, and seven or eight men walked in. The door slammed shut again. Some held flashlights, some had cameras, and one had a DV recorder, all ready to go. Looking at the woman on the floor, they were practically drooling."Get out of the way, I go first! You two, take this kid to another room." Brute Ox shoved aside the man who had rushed ahead of him and ordered the others. The two men reluctantly walked toward Allen, one at his head, one at his feet. Just as they were about to grab him, they felt a sudden weight, then a surge of immense force. Both took a hard punch to the face, flying backward into the five or six men behind them.Allen, who had landed the blows, stood up. Brute Ox's eyes widened: "You little bastard, you're awake. Get him, break him."Hank had said not to resort to violence lightly. But now it was a matter of life and death, and Allen had no more reservations. He took a fighting stance. Within two minutes, he had taken down all seven or eight men, leaving them groaning on the floor, unable to get up.Ignoring the scum, Allen helped the nearly speechless Isabella, who was overcome with emotion, quickly left the room, locked the door with the key, and grabbed the car keys from the table. Outside the abandoned factory, he found the car: "Can you drive?"Isabella was still in shock. She hadn't cried in her moment of despair, but now she was crying tears of joy—a miracle had really happened. She had survived, escaping the clutches of those scumbags. How could she not be emotional? Stuttering, she said, "Yes."They quickly got into the car. Isabella started the engine, and they disappeared into the vast darkness of the night.
