From maid to princess

Chapter 1: KellyWhen I woke up this morning, my two roommates (and best friends) were already up.  'What time is it?' I asked 'It's 6.00 am, you have to get up soon, or we'll be late', Brenda, one of my best friends, said.  She was right, so I got out of bed and went to the bathroom, took a quick shower, brushed my teeth and put on my work clothes. It was Monday, meaning I was in charge of breakfast for the king's family.  I enjoyed working for the king and his family, yet it did take up a lot of time and if I wasn't working, I was busy with school, quite a boring life, but I enjoyed it.  I walked out of my room which led to the common room where most maids spent their day If they weren't working. I greeted the maids who were just waking up just as I was and saying goodnight to the people that had a night shift.  'Heyhey, what's for breakfast today?' Joyce, my other best friend, asked when I entered the kitchen. 'Well, let's see what is on the schedule.' I said, looking at the meal plan the king's maid puts together every week for the king's family. 'Seems like we're making omelettes and toast today.'  At 6.45 am, we finished preparing breakfast for the king, queen and their three children. The waiters came in to take the food to the dining room. After they left I, Brenda and Joyce left to get ready for school.     The famous Midview high school, it was the school everyone wanted to go to mostly because some of the most famous people of the country went here.
