“Blood? Why the hell did she say blood?” I snapped as I paced back and forth in the small hideout we made.
"Calm down Alex, Ember would have warned you if she was in trouble and Gunner would have sensed her pain if she was hurt.” Piper tried to calm me.
“She said blood.” I stammered back as Gunner went wild in my head.
“Mate, I smell her. She is coming back,” he howled.
I shifted my focus towards the facility, and in a matter of moments, Ember came into view, rushing towards us. With no hesitation, she seamlessly transformed into her larger form.
"We need to go now. They know I'm here.” She ordered just as the sound of trolls leaving the building filled the air followed by the blaring of a loud siren from within.
