Draven is breathless. Slowly, his heart rate and body temperature returned to normal. He also didn't feel any pain anymore. Sweat soaked his face and body so that his shirt was soaking wet.
"Draven."
Draven was startled to hear the voice in his head. "Who are you?" He yelled with eyes that looked left and right, alert and afraid.
Sam chuckled. The Draven wolf had adapted to Draven's body which he thought was not weak. Because Draven immediately realized. Draven's body could accept his presence very well, making him not suffer. "I'm Sam. The wolf that inhabits your body."
Draven's eyes narrowed. "So it wasn't a dream? Is it real? I met the Moon Goddess and met you who entered my body?" He leaned back with his eyes closed. What's making him so tired? He looked like he had just finished a run marathon.
Sam nodded. "Right. You met the Moon Goddess and me in your subconscious." Because Draven was a human, he tried to explain calmly and slowly. "Did you know about the werewolf world?"
"A little. I've only read five pages." Draven wiped his forehead to get rid of the sweat. Even though there was no air conditioning in this cave, he didn't feel hot for a whole week, but why was he sweating now? "Really? You're in my body?" Draven still couldn't believe it.
"Yes." Sam nodded. "I got some information from the Moon Goddess. You are a human, and you are Charis' mate. Charis is the leader of the Garnet Pack and Charis wants you to be Alpha, taking her place. Is that right?" Sam didn't doubt the Moon Goddess, but he did want to know the truth.
Draven opened his eyes and looked at the big rock that he had been using to meditate for the past week. "You're right. Charis wants me to be Alpha because he doesn't want other people, especially his younger cousin Emric, to take over as leader. I don't know what made Charis insist on wanting to keep the Alpha position."
Sam nodded in understanding. "When did you meet her?"
"Eight days ago?" Draven hesitated a little. Is it because he's been meditating for too long to lose track of time?
"That means … one day after you met Charis, you immediately decided to become a werewolf and meditate?" Sam concluded.
"Yes, Charis is a hurry. I met her, and she told me that she was a werewolf and that I was her mate. Then she took me to the house of Vesper, a witch who is a friend of her. She showed me her wolf for me to believe. Then she brought me here and told me all about it." Draven sucked in a breath as he licked his dry tongue, tired of talking without pause. "Then she introduced me to the higher-ups and pack members. Annoyed at Emric's words, I announced that I would be replacing."
Sam frowned. Since he was inside Draven's body, he could see all of Draven's memories. How strange, could it be just because of hearing Emric's words? "Why did you decide right away? Do you know what Alpha is? Alpha is a leader. The Garnet Pack will be your responsibility. It's not an easy." No wonder the Moon Goddess doubted Draven a little, but the Moon Goddess still let Draven become a werewolf because she wanted to see what Draven would do. Hopefully, Sam doesn't regret accepting the Moon Goddess' offer to become a Draven wolf.
Draven muses. "I know being a leader is a tough task, but maybe it's my destiny. I can't turn it down." But Draven had other reasons.

The distance between the sacred cave and Charis' house is quite far, roughly fifty meters. Gru–who had told him last night to think about why he wanted to become a werewolf–took Draven to Chris's house. When he arrived, he dashed to the woman's chamber, where she was probably still sleeping because it was four in the morning.
Draven opened the door to Charis' room. He was silent; the door was not locked? Charis was so clumsy. What if someone has ill will against her?
Draven turned on the light and went over to Charis, who was still asleep in a white nightgown. The blanket lay on the floor. It turns out that this is how Charis is when he sleeps. He took the blanket and wrapped it around Charis. He was surprised, because Charis was squirming. His gray eyes were locked on Charis' sleeping face. He smiled, as Charis's dark blond hair fell into a mess.
"Is she Charis? Our mate?" Sam saw what Draven saw. He was mesmerized. Charis was very beautiful, despite her messy hair.
"Yes. Charis Swinton." Draven nodded with a smile. "Am I a werewolf now?"
Sam snorted. "You already have me inside of you. What a ridiculous question."
Draven sat on the edge of the bed. His eyes were still on Charis, who was scratching his cheek. "I'm scared. I'm hallucinating."
Sam rolls his eyes. "If you don't believe me. We can now switch bodies."
Draven glared. "Not right now. I'm not ready."
"It is entirely up to you. Because I am your wolf, I will grant you all my might, and you can brainstorm with me." Sam said seriously. "But, switching bodies before twenty-four hours is dangerous."
"Thank you, Sam. You have accepted me as a human."
"Actually, all werewolves, before they got the wolves that inhabited their bodies, they were ordinary humans. The only difference is that they have werewolf blood." Sam explained.
"I understand." Draven wanted to wake up Charis, but he couldn't bear to wake Charis, who was probably having a sweet dream.
"Why didn't you wake her up?" Sam was confused. The purpose of Draven running into Charis's room like a ghost was chasing him for what? See Charis' sleeping face?
Draven inhaled and exhaled. Charis couldn't possibly be upset with him, could he? Draven gently shook Charis' arm. "Charis." He called the woman's name softly and quietly.
Charis squirmed before finally opening her eyes, her gaze furrowed at the form of a man sitting in front of her who resembled Draven. Is she dreaming? Wasn't Draven in the sacred cave? "Draven?"
Draven nodded. "Yes. It's me."
Charis's eyes widened, then she rubbed her eyes to clear her eyes. "Draven?"
"Yes, Charis." Draven sighed. Does he look like a ghost?
"He's Draven. Try smell this musk scent." Aria's voice echoed in Charis' head, reassuring Charis of the figure of the man in front of her.
Charis sits with a frowned. "Why are you here?"
"Because I'm done meditating."
"You mean?"
"You think?"
Charis covered her mouth with her hand, and pointing her finger at Draven. "You've got your wolf?"
Draven nodded his head. "Yes. His name is Sam. His fur is gray."
Charis's face shone with joy. The drowsiness just disappeared. She subconsciously held Draven's hand with a wide smile on her lips. "Gosh. I can't believe this. Last night we talked about you who hasn't had a dream meet Moon Goddess yet." She was very happy.
Aria, the wolf Charis, was also surprised. It turns out that the Moon Goddess heard Draven's plea and that Draven's wolf had gray fur? How lucky Draven and they too. She couldn't wait to meet the Draven wolf.
"You believe?" Draven was surprised, because Charis immediately believed it.
Charis nodded. "Yes. What are you for lying?" Charis smiled faintly. "You can prove it by turning into a wolf."
Draven stroked Charis' cheek. "Sorry I woke you."
Charis shook her head. "It's okay. I'm very happy and good news like this should be announced soon."
"Announce it to the pack's top brass and pack members?"
"Yes." Charis nodded. "You smell my body scent?"
"Body scent?"
"Yes. A scent that allows werewolves to recognize their mate. As I smell your body, the scent of musk." Charis spoke passionately.
Draven raises his brows. He was very confused. Then Sam explained and it was only then that Draven realized he smelled a very fragrant lily. "Lily flowers. Your scent."
Charis smiled happily.

Charis wasted no time. She immediately contacted Oryn, her Beta, to ask the higher-ups pack to gather in the meeting room because she wanted to announce something very important.
Oryn, was waiting for his Alpha and Luna in front of the meeting room. As Charis and Draven approached him, he bowed his head.
Charis introduced Oryn to Draven, who had not yet met. Because after Draven declared himself to be replacing Charis as the leader of the Garnet Pack, the next day, Draven meditated in the sacred cave to coincide with Oryn, who had finished carrying out his duties. "Draven, he's Beta Oryn. You really wanted to meet him, didn't you?" Charis chuckled.
Draven rolls his eyes. Charis likes to tease him. Draven observed Oryn who had black hair and was the same height as him.
"Greetings, Alpha Draven. Like when I became a Beta for Luna Charis, I will also be loyal to you. Trust me." Oryn told honestly. He was very happy that Charis had met her mate. Even though Draven used to be a pure human, but the most important thing now is that Draven is a werewolf.
Draven patted Oryn's shoulder with his gray eyes staring deeply at Oryn. "Please assist me, Beta Oryn. If there is something I don't understand, please explain it to me. Because Charis told me to ask you."
Charis laughs quietly. Did Draven retain a grudge towards her?
Oryn a genuine smile. "Sure, Alpha. I'll always be there for you and help you as best."
"Thanks, Beta," said Draven.
Oryn glanced at the meeting room door. "You'd better go inside right away. Because all the higher-ups are waiting."
Charis watched Draven tidy up his suit; he was nervous. "Are you ready?"
Draven nodded with gray eyes looking at Charis. "Yes." Even though his heart was beating fast and his legs suddenly weakened, but he had to take it forward!
