Her hair was still wet from the earlier shower. The hairdresser began by blow drying her hair bit by bit.  Maia hated her thick hair in these moments. Her hair reached past her butt and since it was thick, this hairdresser was in for the fight of her life. Lilian sat quietly beside her, cautiously ignoring her other bridesmaids and her in laws to be. "Why do you look so pale?" she asked staring at Maia through the mirror. Maia was still winded from running through her sisters parking lot and up three flights of stairs. She smiled before she composed herself a bit more, "I haven't ate yet.." she trailed off. It wasnt  a lie, she had gotten up so late that all she cohld do was run.  Lilian reached her hand over and took hers. "I'm not having you pass out in the middle of tbe ceremony just because you probably woke up late." She said in a serious tone. Maia smiled guiltily. Of course Lilian would be able to read her.  Lilian stood and walked over to her mother in law's table. Much to Maia's surprise she walked back with a plate filled with eggs with bacon and a blueberry muffin.  Lilian smiled at her sister, "you're lucky your makeup isn't done or you'd ruin it from drooling" she laughed. Maia laughed at her sister's comment as she took the plate with food. "I didnt know you'd be so prepared" she laughed in between bites. The morning seemed to race by as the stylists seemed to be competing with it. Luckily for them, the stylists won. Maia ran to the restroom to brush her teeth again before doing her make-up while her stylist took a quick break. She caught a glimpse of her hair in her sister's oval mirror. Her hair looked amazing! Long brownish red curls cascading down her back as the rest was pulled back into a half up-do.  Shed tip her stylist well today she thought completely impressed. Maia made her way back to her sisters side with a minty fresh mouth when her sister started to bombard her with questions. "So...where did Michael decide to buy our house? Is it big? I hope its still close to you." She got quiet at the thought. Maia laughed at her sister, "I cant betray Michael's trust that way!"  Maia had helped him every step of the way. Michael had been such a loving person to her sister that Maia couldnt refuse anything that he asked her help for. Lilian knew that Michael wanted to surprise her but she couldnt hold back her disappointed pout. "You'll see it after the honeymoon?" Maia offered. Lilian giggled at her sister's expression. It was killing Maia not to be able to tell her. -Later that night- Maia leaned over the rail, taking in the scene in front of her. Her drink steady in her hand as she looked out over the lake. The moon hovering right above it, making the water shimmer with its light. Her sister's wedding had been every bit of the fairy tail wedding that she wanted since she was a kid. Her husbands family making sure to make it as fairy tail like as possible.  Each table was carefully adorned with silver leaf decorations that made it seem they were dining in a Disney movie. Maia took another sip of her chardonnay, she was so tired from all the festivities and emotional roller coaster.  She was happy for Lilian and Michael. He did everything for Lilian since their high school graduation to show her how much she meant to him. He was a very doting boyfriend and now husband. Maia had been the first to know of their engagement, and had been the happiest when her sister and Michael came over to surprise her. She knew their lives would be filled with love. Deep in thought, she hadnt noticed the stranger that was walking over to her. Taking a sip of his drink seductively. His silver brunello cucinelli suit and light blue shirt looked out of place in the party, where everyone had took their jackets off so they could enjoy themselves. Running a hand through his jet black hair he reached the pensive woman that stood at the other end of the party. Maia had her mind stuck in another time, one where her sister would run circles around her and her mother while her step father looked at them with adoring eyes. Suddenly the attractive stranger leaned onto the rail, turning with a smirk towards Maia. "Lovely wedding, isnt it?" He said into his drink as he took another sip. After a moment passed Maia blushed, embarrassed not to have noticed the question was directed at her. The man seemed to smile at her dumbfounded expression. "Oh...yes very beautiful" she smiled back. "The bride n groom seem to be very young to be getting married.." he trailed, looking back towards the newly weds dancing. Maia tensed, "they've known each other all their lives" she defended, not liking the mans comment. He laughed at her tone, " didnt mean to offend, just making an observation" he smiled.  Maia smiled back, not wanting to be rude at the wedding. "No not at all, they've been together since gradeschool. Michael was always been waiting til they were both 21 to get married." She explained with a smile. She took in the man in front of her, noticing for the first time his black eyes. She couldnt help in noticing this man was extremely handsome. He smiled as she noticed him, very aware of her proximity. Maia looked back towards the party, "are you from the groom's side of the family?" She asked the handsome stranger. He furrowed his brow, "No, just a friend of the bride's family." He countered. Maia turned to stare at the man, obviously confused by the lie. "I dont believe I've ever met you." She stated confused. Then something happened Maia couldnt explain. The man's eyes flashed as silver as his suit. His mouth curving into a smirk that sent a shiver down Maia's spine. "No I dont believe we have met Maia."
