That One Night Stand

Chapter 2

Jackson is CEO of Skywise hotel and suite, making him her boss and also the wealthiest and ruthless man in Opebe city. Alicia was stunned.

“Are you drunk!,” she exclaimed. She didn't know how those words left her mouth, but somehow he heard her and he slowly opened his eyes. He stared coldly at Alicia. She got very scared, and her heart started racing fast.

Alicia quickly turned to her bag to take her phone and make a phone call to the manager when she felt his cold hand on her ankle and she froze. His touch sent some bizarre feeling that she couldn't explain through her body.

“Don't…you dare call anyone, lift me up” he commanded, his voice clipped and Alicia shuddered. Even in his weak state, he still displayed a terrifying demeanor.

His eyes started closing again as he started to drift off again to unconsciousness and Alicia stared in confusion.

Alicia didn't know how to deal with these…she waved hands seeking inspiration.

Quickly she tossed her bag to the couch and bent down to help him up, his cologne filling her nose and she nearly lost control.

‘God he smells amazing’ Alicia murmured.

Carrying him to bed was like running a marathon. He was very large with his prominent biceps. She struggles with him until she finally places him on the bed and exhales heavily.

Honestly, Alicia never thought that her day would end this way. She stared at his handsome face as she helped him remove his shoes.

‘He’s breathtaking’, Alicia gushed.

As she turned to leave, she felt his hands on her wrist and her heart jump-start as adrenaline courses through her body.

She thought he was still unconscious.

“Stay with me tonight…” he said in a hoarse voice that still harbored a commanding demeanor and Alicia felt herself blushing, feeling stupid and slightly piqued at the same time.

“Please….,” his voice calmed. Staring deep at her.

Alicia felt pity for him. His stare weakened her bones and she couldn't refuse him, but what if someone walked in on them or what if his wife came in here? ‘Oh..yes, he is a married man’, Alicia reminded herself as she contemplated her options.

Even though she had secretly admired this guy, and she felt really comfortable just being here with him, she also knew that she was getting herself into big trouble if someone happened to walk in on them.

“I was.. "Drugged,” he blurted out, and Alicia gasped. She was stunned.

She stared at him with sympathy. He must be very strong to still be this conscious after being drugged. ‘ Screw it….I will stay with him' she thought.

However, before she could summon up the courage to accept his proposal, he pulled her into his arms and, while she was still processing what was happening, she felt his lips on her as he began to kiss her.

Alicia groans, but her expression softens.

Before Jackson, she never felt anything, even with Hudson. And now, she feels everything. Every emotion is so heightened. It’s hard for her to process. Hard to understand.

Her conscious mind was telling her that this was wrong while her physical body encouraged her. In her tipsy state she succumbed to his temptations.

The next morning, Stella resumed her shift feeling all irritated as she remembered she was on the same shift as Alicia. Seeing that Alicia was running late, she decided to take the VIP suites, which are rarely used by customers as it's for high-class people.

She was leaving all the rooms with heavy work to Alicia.

She opened the door of the first suite and gasped. She saw Alicia in the arms of a man. She couldn't see his face.

They were sound asleep.

Her mood lights up. She smirks and takes out her phone and takes pictures of them and leaves. She was very excited to see something that would help her get rid of Alicia for good.

Jackson woke up soon and stared at his surroundings, the memories of the night flowing back to him and his eyes turned cold as he remembered how he was drugged.

It must be Kai, his cousin's brother. He insisted on buying him a drink to celebrate his world-award-winning contract in his company and, in the blink of an eye, he started feeling strangely dizzy and Kai disappeared from him. “ That bastard,” he hissed.

He managed to escape from the bar as he was quite sure that Kai had another ulterior motive.

He also remembered the amazing night with a beautiful damsel sleeping peacefully right beside him. He grins, recovering his usual devil-may-care demeanor in an instant.

She really saved him last night by staying with him and he was grateful. ‘ I wish I could get to know her more ‘ he thought to himself.

He felt guilty because he was married, but he didn't regret his night with her. If anything, he was grateful for meeting an angel.

He almost lost control of himself, gushing over her when he remembered Harley, his beautiful 9-year-old daughter. She must have been worried sick about him for not coming home last night.

He quickly dressed up and removed a bundle of dollars from his side pocket and kept it on the bed facing it towards Alicia so she could see it once she was up.

He left immediately.

Paul, the manager of Skywise hotel and suite, was furious when Stella reported Alicia to him with proof of pictures of them on the bed. He rushed downstairs with Stella trailing right behind him. He pushed the door open with a loud thud, waking Alicia up.

“What the hell are you doing here?,” he said coldly and sleep vanished from Alicia's eyes, panic knots in her chest and tightening around her throat, feeding her fear.

She was shaking.

Alicia was n***d under the duvet, and she noticed a bundle of dollars beside her. She panicked. She had broken the rules that said no to sleeping with customers, only that it wasn't just any customer, it was their CEO.

She dragged up the duvet as she tried to cover herself well, “Are you dumb or deaf?” Paul yelled at her. He couldn't contain his anger.

“I..i.am sorry sir, I didn't ... .I don't…..,” Alicia stammered. Her frustration echoes in her words.

She heard mockery chuckles and peeked up to see Stella behind the manager smirking at her and her heart boiled with anger.

“Just ….shut up, there is no need to explain yourself. "I am taking this money as payment for using this expensive suite with your mystery man and… you are fired,”
