26th Tick: Fiery Ally

1003 Words
Wish stood there, no longer smiling. He looked around, wondering where the meteor had come from. Thomas looked to the side, noticing someone running at Wish, leaving a fiery trail behind him. Amon was running hard, Thomas reached out while Wish was distracted looking at Amon, punching him in the face. Wish stumbled slightly, turning around to face Thomas. Amon tackled him from the side, both of them smashing into the wall in an explosion. Amon was sent flying, Thomas helping break his fall before running at Wish. The boy tapped the ground with his foot, the ground rising to stop Thomas. Amon ran past it and jumped at Wish, his hands erupting into flames. Wish swiped at him, the winds twisted, leaving deep gashes in the ground. A column of flames rose up to consume Amon. However, he simply passed through the attacks, the attacks passing through his body like he was a flame. Amon landed in front of Wish, a row of flames engulfing Wish. Wish powered through it, his skin sizzling and burning as he grabbed Amon by the neck with his one good arm. Wish turned to look at the sky, another meteor falling from the sky, aimed directly at him. Amon slipped his grip, turning into flames and reforming his body behind Wish, putting him in a triangle choke. Wish held his breath, lifting up his good arm. The meteor stopped in place, and just before he could lose consciousness, he clenched his hand, the meteor shattering to pieces. He pulled his arm down, the pieces raining down on them. Amon let the pieces pass through him, the pieces not hitting Wish. Amon had turned to flame, so the choke was ineffective. Thomas temporarily hid in another timeline until the rain of rocks was over. A block of water appeared above Wish, drenching both of them. With Amon stuck in his physical state, Wish waved at him, the winds throwing him aside. “Have I seen you before?” Wish asked the monk. “Did you happen to make a wish with me?” Amon did not reply, instead, crouched low, his eyes looking at Wish. There was anger in his eyes, anger towards the Myth that stood before him. Thomas reappeared, checking Wish’s physical state. Amon was doing a surprisingly good job of fighting Wish, and Thomas could see the effect. Wish’s left arm was useless, the boy could barely move his body. There was a lot of blood lost, and his neck and right hand had burns. Thomas would give Wish a few more attack before the body would break, leaving Wish in his original state. “Let me think...” Wish muttered, rubbing his forehead. Thomas threw a stone. “Fifth Hour.” The stone did not even touch Wish, instead, changed course to aim at Amon. Amon’s clothes steamed as the water evaporated, he turned to flames, the rock passing through him. Amon ran at Wish once again, a column of flames hitting him first. Wish surrounded himself in a layer of ice, the attack seemed ineffective. Amon stopped and kicked, Wish unable to block the attack. His leg melted the ice and burnt wherever his leg passed through. Wish had a giant burn from his shoulder to his torso. Wish blinked, a bolt of lightning striking where Amon was. Amon barely avoided it by moving, another meteor falling from the sky. Except, Wish was unaware of it, continuing to pay more attention to Amon. The monk punched at Wish, the attack not doing much. When the meteor was upon them, Wish noticed the shadow and the meteor simply split in half, crashing on either sides of them. Through the dust, Amon managed to land a hit squarely on Wish’s cheek. Everything flash froze. Thomas blinked, having just been revived from dying. Hi looked everywhere, I’ve coated everything. Amon, radiating heat, was sluggish in the much colder conditions. Wish looked at the monk, his face so badly burnt that it almost burnt through his cheek. He scratched his head, saying, “Yeah, you’re that guy.” Amon was unable to reply, but Thomas could hear their conversation. “You came to me one day to make a wish, you wanted something... what was it?” Wish tried to remember. Thomas tried to prepare for his next attack. Wish snapped, smiling. “That’s right, you wanted power for revenge. I think the proper wish was that you wanted the power to kill an immortal.” Amon gritted his teeth, his blood rushing. The heat intensified from his anger, his eyes glaring so hard he was burning Wish with his gaze. Wish ignored his look and continued, “What did I take away again...?” Amon screamed, the place being lit on fire. He ran at Wish in a wild manner, his eyes wide with rage. The air itself burned, the ground started to melt, and Wish faced him head on, a smile on his face. “That’s right, I took the memories of the one you respected the most, your master, right?” Another meteor fell from the sky. Wish stopped it in place, but was launched some distance by a punch. Amon chased after him, the temperature rising. The heat was so intense that it started to burn the walls, melting the stone. Wish gritted his teeth as he snapped, the ground rising, blocking a blast of fire from Amon. Amon simply screamed and the fire melted through the earth. Wish spun out of the way, his leg failing and he fell on the ground. Amon walked up to Wish, his own dark skin already breaking apart. He was producing the heat by burning his own body, and Wish knew it. “This is so much fun.” Wish commented. Amon raised a fiery hand to strike Wish, his eyes blinded by anger. Thomas wanted to warn Amon, but it was simply too late. Thomas ran towards them, his body also breaking apart from the heat. Wish simply said, “Too bad, so sad.” Amin’s eyes widened as he fell, a hole in his gut. Blood pooled under him as the flames extinguished. Wish stood up shakily, his body on the verge of breaking apart himself.
