Ryan’s eyes flattered opened, and he rose, not realising how light his hands felt. He rubbed his eyes furiously to try and wake himself up because he had a lot to do today. Finally, Ryan’s eyes looked at the bed only to see it empty. He also saw that the wheelchair was not there, so he assumed that she might be in the bathroom, so he walked to the door in the corner of the room and opened it slightly and called out her name.
‘Riana, are you here?’ Ryan called but didn’t receive a response, so he pushed the door open and looked around, but she wasn’t there. This worried him so he walked out of the room and Hera and May were sleeping on the chairs and she was not there.
‘May.’ Ryan called a few times before she stirred and stared up at him and rubbed her eyes.
