Chapter 11

"What specie are you?" He obviously wasn't human and Alex didn't sense that he had a wolf. "I'm an angel." I raised my eyebrows, this was a first for me.  "Cool, I've never met an angel before." He smiled widely. "Angels aren't known to be in realms that are not our own. Although, I think it's safe to say that is going to be changing now." He leaned forward slowly and kissed me.  I kissed him back! I never could have imagined such a perfect first kiss. He kept it soft, like he was cherishing the moment. I know I was.  Eventually we pulled back, breathless. We were both smiling, ear to ear. I leaned forward and hugged him. Wolves need physical contact with their mates and after how crazy things have been for me over the last couple weeks, I needed his comfort and strength. He hugged me back and made no move to pull away.  Buzz, Buzz. I move back and reach for my phone, I had it clipped to my belt so I wouldn't loose it.  "Hello." "Adeera, it's Sheila. Sean is asking for you." "Alright, I'll be right there." I hang up and stand.  "So, I happen to know you've been watching me for a while. I assume you saw Sean?" He smiled and stood too, "Yes, I did." He paused, looking at the mansion. "I have this feeling that he was meant to be ours. That he was meant to find his way to us." "I agree, I connected with him instantly. Come on, let me introduce you?" We walked hand in hand. Those who saw us didn't seem to now how to react. Mostly, they just smiled and continued on with their business. Some stared and I stared back until they submitted.  Walter just chuckled, but didn't say anything. I mind link Abrham and Austin and have them meet us in Sean's room.  When we get to his room, I immediately go to Sean's side and sit next to him. Sean cuddles into me, but keeps his eyes on Walter.  "What's going on, my sweet boy?" When he doesn't respond respond, Sheila mind links me. Sheila: I think he was just missing you. He has been pretty quiet all day. Me: Thank you for staying with him. She nods and gets up to leave. When she's gone, I introduce Sean to Walter. "Sean, this is my mate, Walter. He's an angel." "I've never met an angel before." I can't believe he talked! "I hadn't either." I smiled down to him.  "Angels don't normally leave their realm, but I needed help from the werewolf queen." Walter smiles at us as he sits at the end of the bed. "How are you feeling Sean?" "Better than yesterday." Sean was still a little shy, but was considerably less so with Walter.  Abrham and Austin chose that moment to answer. Walter was on his feet and beside me in seconds. When my beta and gamma saw him, they also went in to defense mode.  "Enough." My alpha voice worked on Abrham and Austin, but did not work on Walter. Which is how it should be. Mates are equals to each other. "Abrham, Austin, this is my mate Walter." "His smell. He's the one who has been on our territory." Abrham sounded a little confused.  "Guys, he is the one my parents were meeting and the one I have been sensing on our territory." Austin begins to chuckle, "You're the one that hung those wolves from the trees." Walter grinned, "Guilty as charged." I also laughed, it was pretty funny.  Suddenly Sean speaks up and we all look at him, shocked. "Why do you need help from the werewolf queen?" "There is a demon that is building an army. He wants to rule over all of the species. We also have to build an army to stop him." Walter spoke calmly, looking to each person is the room. "My mom would never tell me about demons, she was scared of them." I pulled Sean closer in a protective hold.  "Demons are evil creatures, my sweet boy. They live for destruction of all that brings light to this world. They are so full of darkness that they have no love left in them. They are empty shells of the person they used to be." I answered this time. "Are the demons more powerful than the angels?" Sean looks to Walter as he asks. Walter was quiet for a moment before answering. "No, Sean. They are not more powerful than us. But like I said, the demons are recruiting. Unfortunately, they have managed to recruit a large number of angels. One of our high angels recruited me to build an army to fight the demons. That is why I came. The late King and Queen planned on helping me, but somehow someone knew I was there. I do not know for sure who the target was, however."  He hung his head and I used one of my hands to grab his and pull him closer.  "During my interrogation, one of the rogues told us that the targets were my parents." He nodded, but he looked as though he still wasn't convinced.  I looked over to Sean and he had his head dropped.  I took a deep breath, by guys both felt guilty, and none of this was their fault. For a moment, that darkness tried to seep in. Alex: Fight is, Adeera. You have to fight it. I nod to her. My family and kingdom need me. I let out my peaceful aura, hoping that is would give the comfort Walter and Sean needed.  After a moment they each lifted their heads.  "Alright, who's up for some dinner?" I get smiles from everyone in the room. "Abrham, Austin, would you have dinner brought up for all of us?" They nodded and left. Walter moved Sheila's chair so that he could sit next to me. I smiled at him and he leaned forward to kiss my forehead.  Sean took in the scene and asked, "If you are my mom now, does that mean that Angel Walter is my father?" I felt Walter's happiness. "Yes, my sweet boy. If that is okay with you."  He grinned and hugged me, Walter moved so that he could hug both Sean and I at the same time. It was such a sweet family moment. I didn't want it to end.  Soon, though, Abrham and Austin were back, followed by some omegas who were carrying food dishes. Walter got up to help them set the food up on a small table farther into the room. After we all ate, I had Austin check on the Black brothers before he went to bed. Abrham went to check in with his dad, so just the three of us were left. Walter moved to the other side of Sean and we all watched a movie. When it was over, Sean had already fallen asleep.  Walter and I got up quietly and I led him to my room. When the door shut, Walter pulled me into his arms. We looked at each other for a moment and then he leaned his head down to kiss me. I met him half way. It started slow and sweet but quickly became full of need.  We both pulled back, gasping for breath.  "I think it would be best to keep the fact that I'm an angel quiet for as long as possible. It will come out sooner or later, but maybe we can buy ourselves some time."  I nod, not trusting myself to speak yet.  He smiled and pulled me into his arms for a hug.  "I'll get Abrham to bring you some clothes. You look about his size." "Thank you, my angel." I nod and mind link Abrham, then go into the bathroom to change and get ready for bed. By the time I come back out, Walter is changed and laying in bed.  I walk quietly in case he is already asleep. When I lay next to him, he puts both arms around me and pulls me close, as if he's afraid that I might leave.  Like hell I would.  I scoot closer to him too and we fall asleep like that.
