  SUZAN'S POV   I sat in the study that used to be Colin's, staring blankly at the ceiling, my thoughts a tangled mess of guilt and uncertainty. The walls held memories of him—his presence still lingered in the scent of his books, in the meticulous arrangement of his files, in the leather chair that still bore the faint imprint of his form.   But none of that could bring him back.   The guilt clawed at me, an unrelenting ache in my chest.
