  SUZAN'S POV   Later in the day, Colin returned in the afternoon, looking exhausted but cheerful. "Hey, sweetheart," he greeted, kissing my cheek.   I stiffened at the contact but forced myself to smile. "Hey, how was the reunion?"   "Good. It was nice catching up. You should have been there with me. They would have loved to meet you," he said to me, his eyes softening as they searched mine. "How was your night?"   My chest ached.   "Fine," I lied.   Colin nodded but didn't push. He never did.
