I was hoping she would say yes as I waited for her response. I always wondered why her parents never came to fetch her, maybe that's why she usually went home last and alone. No one had ever since them. I hid back each time everyone left so I could see whether that would change, but it never did.
Not that I had any bad motives towards her but I just felt intrigued about anything that concerned her. Everything about her fascinated me on a deeper level. It wasn't my thing to stick my nose on other people's business but when it came to Lina, I just couldn't help myself.
