The gauge on Mia’s gas tank was on the E by the time she made it to the Econo-Fill, ten miles north of University Park. It was one of the few gas stations she’d never been to before.
It was also only about half a mile away from Lookout Point, where those bodies were found.
She parked in front of the gas pump and let out a big sigh. Nope, Mia. You’re not doing it. You can’t get involved. Be strong.
