The first glance
In the heart of the city, where justice often collided with corruption, stood Alif - a fearless, strikingly beautiful police officer, known not just for her looks, but for the fire in her eyes and the ghosts in her past. She had lost everything as a child - her family brutally murdered in a case that was never solved. That tragedy didn't break her — it forged her into steel. One quiet morning, while sipping black coffee at her desk, Alif s partner Sahir walked in with a grim expression. "There's a man you need to know about," he said. "Ronan powerful, untouchable. He and his grandson Daniel run a black-market organ transplant ring. They blackmail, manipulate, and operate a network of underground crime….. all under the mask of a prestigious hospital. Daniel's his right hand — dangerous, cunning, and completely loyal." Alif leaned forward. "If we know all this, why haven't we arrested them?" Sahir chuckled darkly. "Because every time we try, they vanish protected by names bigger than ours. Politicians, CEOs...they re ghosts in the system." Alif stood up, her badge glinting under the light. "Then let's haunt the ghosts. Let's meet Ronan." They walked straight into the lion's den — Ronan's hospital. The assistant tried to block them. "He's in a meeting." Alif didn't flinch. She pushed past and entered the room where Ronan sat at a polished table, surrounded by men in suits. Heads turned. "Excuse us, gentlemen," she said coolly. "I have a word for Mr. Ronan." Ronan's cold eyes met hers. "Who are you?" She held up her badge. "Police. We have a few questions — unless you'd prefer I ask them here, in front of your.. colleagues?" Ronan dismissed the room with a wave of his hand. Silence fell. Alif stepped closer. "I know what you're doing. And from this moment on, every breath you take is under my watch. One wrong move…. and I'm there." Ronan smirked, unfazed. "Officer, the only ones who are careful... are the ones afraid. You're here. I'm here. Let's see who makes the first mistake." The air crackled with tension — the hunter and the hunted, standing eye to eye. sharply against the marble floor - each step echoing with quiet rage. Sahir followed closely behind, watching her with a mix of concern and admiration. "I want everything," she said coldly. "All their properties, businesses, accounts, offshore holdings... and I want full family profiles. I don't care how long it takes-get me everything on Ronan and Daniel." Sahir gave a slow nod, already pulling out his phone. "Consider it done." Just as Alif was walking down the hospital steps, a black luxury car pulled up at the entrance. The door opened... and out stepped Daniel - sharp suit, cold eyes, and the kind of arrogance money couldn't buy — it was inherited. Their eyes met. Time froze for a second. He didn't know who she was, not yet. But Alif recognized him instantly. The face from the file. Ronan's shadow — and his sword. Daniel raised an eyebrow slightly, sensing the intensity in her stare. He flashed a small, smug smile and walked past her. Alif didn't flinch. She watched him go, her jaw tight. Sahir leaned in, That was daniel "I know," she said, without taking her eyes off him. "And next time... he'll know who I am." As Daniel disappeared through the glass doors, Alif turned away. The war had just begun — and she had no intention of losing.
