When I first saw her, it was like a scene out of a movie… not a romantic one if that what you had in mind. It’s more like an action movie. Specifically, the scene where they transfer the prisoner before all hell break loose. She was in chains, looking weak and tired, of course she did, she was in a cell for the past few days. But she still looked beautiful with her short blond hair and her big hazel eyes. When Carter slashed her hands with the silver dagger all I wanted was to s***h his throat. I’ve left my position, forgot about the battle, all I wanted is to get to her. And when her hazel eyes started to flatter shut, I felt my heart stop for a second. I couldn’t abandon my family; they are fighting off a f*****g ghost for crying out loud… a ghost who is my mate’s father. So I did the second best thing. Now the battle has ended with the most powerful alpha command of all history and another ghost showing up, Uncle Max. I don’t think twice or even tell my father before I grab my brother, AJ, tell him everything and ask him to cover for me, then go find my mate. I contacted Theo, the warrior I handed Sarah to, with another 3 warriors, and he said that they went to the nearest pack they could find and that she is being treated as we speak. Theo is also a good friend of mine and a strong zeta, I trust him. Thank the goddess they had the good sense to hide who they really are and that they were just attacked by hunters and needed help. The pack’s alpha was understanding, knowing of the battle going on near by, and let them in, as well as me when I finally found them. No one can know who we really are or who she really is yet. Yes, I’m not ready for the world to know that she is my mate and I don’t know if I will even accept her, but most importantly, I don’t know what my father will do to her if he knew she is still alive, she is a traitor after all. “Where is she?” The first thing I ask Theo who met me at the border. “In their hospital, it’s a small pack with limited resources but it’s sufficient” he informs me on our way to it. I see the other three warriors standing in front of a room, assuming it’s hers, panicking… that can’t be good. “What’s wrong? Is she okay?” I ask passing them and into the room, to find an empty bed. “where is she?” I ask confused. Was she taken to surgery? Did here condition get worse? I didn’t feel her dying, so she is still alive. “We’ve lost her” one of the warriors says with eyes cast down. “What the hell do you mean you lost her? How the f**k do you lose an unconscious person?” I roar about to snap the fucker’s neck. “Your highness, we didn’t know she would run. She was left to rest until the doctors continue her treatment. We didn’t even know she could wake up yet” he chocks out. “Caleb, it’s just few minutes from the hospital to the border and back, if she left within this time we can still find her” Theo says, thinking rationally but I’m not thinking that way now, am I?! “Then find her” I growl. We search the pack twice under the pretense that our fellow warrior who was injured, got disoriented and drifted off. We found nothing. We leave after I thank the alpha for his help and start searching the surrounding area. We are well into the next day’s morning, and we still find nothing. She is gone. How did she get so far with a severe silver infection? Maybe she was taken? But there were no signs of struggle. And who would take her? It was just known that she was Carter’s daughter and it was also known that she was nothing special. Who would be interested? She must have ran away. I need to find her, but no one can know that. “Let’s head back home… and if any of this got out, it will be your heads” I threaten them. “Yes, your highness”. - That day I went back home with full intent to find her, I just didn’t know that it will take that long. Max POV I take one final look at the people I love the most. “Goodbye… I will always be watching over you” I say closing my eyes, ready to leave once and for all this time. I open my eyes waiting to be welcomed back by Adam, who will ask me a million questions about Alexandria, Maxima and everyone. Wait! Where the f**k am I? And who the f**k is this? “You are finally up!” some woman says. I try to get up but I find out that I’m strapped and chained to a bed. That’s a little excessive if you ask me. “Who the hell are you? And how did I get here?” I say trying to get out of my bounds. “Sorry about all that” she says referring to the dozen chains, ropes and straps I’m in. I look around and I’m in a torn down room and next to me is a blond girl who looks fast asleep on a bed. “I didn’t know if you’d be back in your pure hunter full power or not” she says apologetically “What? Back where? What the f**k is going on?” I ask confused as hell. “I brought you back … from the dead”, What? I’m back? How? “I only had a very small window between you being here and before you are back up there, it was the only time that magic would work on you, you weren’t a pure hunter nor were you exactly a spirit … So, I kind of snatched you and brought you back to life” she says so proud of her demented self. “How the hell did you do that?” I say trying to contain myself. “Your bones, of course” she says like it’s a common information. “You dug up my bones!!”, I’m going to kill her. “I had to, it’s the only way to bring you back. Of course, it took you a year to wake up” she says annoyed. What!! I've been here a year?! did the moon goddess not notice or just didn't care?! How the f**k did she do that anyway! “A YEAR?!” I scream . that can’t be true… this is not real. "Believe me it wasn't easy for me either but it was worth the wait" She says with a smile. that b***h! She didn’t use a potion or some relic …. So not a witch… a sorcerer. That explains the cocky attitude. “Who is the girl?” I ask. “Well, I couldn’t get the princess of course with her pure blood and now with a powerful wolf. So, I got the next best thing. JJ POV (A new character) Again with the cramps … I feel like I’m about to give birth or something. Mom said it could mean that I’m going into heat soon but it doesn’t feel that way. But the cramps do go away when my mate is with me. Still, I have an eerie feeling that it’s something else, I just don’t want to think about it. I mean it couldn’t be… we just found each other 3 months ago, we are in our honeymoon phase that is supposed to last forever… right? Ugh! Damn it! It’s getting worse, I can’t even take it anymore.
