Nadia didn't speak up. She just keeps on mourning and staring at Sandy's casket. Jackie came closer to Janine and whispered. "You still have one last option."
"What is it?" Janine asked, looking confused.
Jackie raised her right hand and then she pointed at Sandy's casket. "Can you manage it?"
Janine nodded. "I think I can." She sighed deeply. She came closer to the casket and prepared herself. She was about to touch it when she felt someone held her arm.
"Janine," Mark called her. "Can we talk for a bit?"
She looked at his eyes. He only saw concern and care from Mark. "Sure." They moved farther from other visitors, making sure no one can hear them.
"Why?" she asked.
"You just lost your consciousness yesterday. Can you manage it?" Mark worridly asked.
Janine smiled. "Yes, I can manage it," she said. "visions won't stop until I resolve it. It's face it or avoid it and be haunted anytime."
"Okay, I'll stay right behind you," Mark assured her.
"Thank you." Janine walked back towards the casket, beside Nadia. She stared on it for a few times. She looked at Jackie and quickly glanced at Nadia, telling her to keep her away from the casket.
"N-Nadia," Jackie called her. She looked at her. "We're sort of hungry from long travel. We didn't have our breakfast. D-do you have food?"
"Oh, right. I'm sorry." She wiped her tears. "Let me take you to the dining area. Have your brunch there." She glanced at Janine. "How about you?"
"I-I'll stay for a while with Sandy so she won't get lonely." Janine smiled. Wishing she doesn't look nervous or anything like that.
"Thank you!" Nadia exclaimed. "I'll just serve them their lunch, then I'll replace you here right after so you could have your brunch, too."
"No worries," she said. She watched Nadia, Marvin and Jackie walking out of the room. She sighed deeply right after. "Okay, let's start."
She raised her hand to touch the casket. "Sandy, can you hear me? Please show a sign that you can hear me, and you want justice," she whispered. She touched the cold, white casket and she closed her eyes. It was dark and a little vivid, like a huge room that walls can't be seen. She lloked around the whole place, there she saw Sandy in white, smiling at her.
"Thank you for your care," she said.
"Sandy, I feel sorry for what happened to you,." Janine came closer to Sandy. "I know how difficult it is to be bullied; to be picked on. It must be painful for you."
"Yes, it is," she replied. "I want justice, and I want them to pay for what they did, but not this way."
"You mean, you're not the one who's killing your bullies?"
Sandy shook her head. "It's not what I want. I just want to rest in peace."
"I want to help you," she said. "Please guide me."
"I'll try, Janine." Sandy came closer to Janine. She raised her hand and held her cheek. "Thank you for being our bridge towards the light."
Janine didn't understand what she meant. "What do you mean?"
"Our soul cries and you can hear us," Sandy explained. "You have the ability to reach out and hear those souls, living or dead. You don't realize it yet, but something kicks inside you when a soul you once know cries. You will hear when the soul is seeking for help, vengeance and justice. You have a pure soul. You will figure it out soon." Sandy faded while she was floating away.
She opened her eyes, tears welled up. She looked at Mark. "I saw her. I spoke to her. She's a kind person.
Why did this happen to her?" She sobbed. Mark hugged her to let her cry and release all her emotions. He pats her back to make her calm.
"You didn't lose your consciousness this time," Mark said. He was amazed Janine didn't go dizzy and faint.
"I know. Maybe because Sandy doesn't bear grudges. She just wants to rest in peace." Janine wiped her tears. "Perhaps someone is responsible with the recent killings."
"Is there any clue from Sandy?" Mark curiously asked. "She probably has some ways to help us."
Janine shook her head. "None, but she said she will try to guide me to solve this."
"Hey, it's time for you, guys, to eat brunch with them," Nadia said as she entered the room.
"T-thank you, Nadia. We'll go there now," Janine stuttered. She had a hunch about who's responsible about the recent killings, but she needs a proof. "We can manage ourselves and find the dining area. You should stay here and watch over Sandy."
"Sure, Janine. You're so thoughtful." Nadia sweetly smiled. Her gaze went back to Sandy's casket and stared blankly. "Justice will be served," she murmured.
Janine and Mark both went to the dining area to have a brunch with Marvin and Jackie. She also needs to talk to Marvin and ask about what Sandy said to her. She doesn't know how to explain those words she said. They were all in English but they seemed to be said in different language.
"Marvin, I need to ask you something," she whispered to him. "It's a little confusing to me."
"What is it?" he asked. He took a sip of iced tea. "Shoot it."
"I can't elaborate it here but... what is all about the bridge to the light and I can feel their souls and see through them?"
"It seems you're a mix of a Clairsentient, a Clairvoyant and a Channeller," Marvin replied. "That's amazing!"
"What are those?" she asked, clueless about the words he said. "Are we talking in English here?"
"I'll tell you more about it once we're home." He glanced around before speaking up again. "It's more safe to discuss it later. I noticed something here."
"O-Okay, you say so." She got nervous when Marvin said he noticed something in the house. She also feels something is wrong in the house. The feeling is heavy and she can sense negativity.
