"We had a great time last week!" Jackie excitedly said. "And the school suspension is over." They were walking on the campus ground going to their classroom. "Darryl is facing too many charges, but his family really claimed for insanity. Papa said the court might side with them since he really is losing his mind." "As long as he's separated from the society, I'm all good." Jackie stopped walking. She saw a woman walking slowly, looking gloomy. "That's the girl with Henry on the beach." "Where?" She looked at the girl Jackie was pointing at. "She looks sad." "Henry wants to abort their baby," she said. "Remember Jen's ex-boyfriend?" "What?" Janine's jaw dropped. 'Sorry, I wasn't able to tell you the whole thing. I almost forgot the incident last time." "That's cruel." She stared at the woman who stopped walking, he seems spaced out while looking up and staring blankly at the clouds. "Is she okay?" "I hope she is. Let's go to our class. We'll be late." Jackie pulled her to walk fast towards the building. Janine couldn't help but to look back at the woman. She's beautiful and tall, but she's thin with dark circles around her eyes. It seemed she's underweight and her face was gloomy. They were in the middle of the class when they heard a commotion right outside their classroom. Everyone went out the see what's happening. Janine and Jackie saw Henry with a woman beside her, and his girlfriend. crying. They looked at each other, shocked at the scene. "Why are you doing this to me? I gave everything to you!" Henry's girlfriend shouted to him. Pointing her finger at him. "Berna, we're through. We broke up last week, remember?" he simply said. He put his arm around the woman beside him. "She's my new girlfriend." The new girlfriend crossed her arms. "What? You just walked out and left me alone on that beach. We didn't break up!" "We didn't? Okay, then we're through." His mouth twitched. "Are yo uhappy now? Leave us alone. Shoo!" "How dare you!" She came closer to Henry and hit him with her books. "Can't you understand we're through? I don't love you anymore." He pulled his new girlfriend and started walking away from Berna. She ran towards Henry and held his arm. "I already had an abortion, just like what you said. It's gone. Please, don't leave me." "Why do you have to say that in front of these people?" His face was red in anger. "Wait, what?" the new girlfriend reacted. "Didn't you hear me? I was pregnant last week and he left me when I told him about it. He wants it aborted so I did it." Berna raised her both arms, proud of what she did. People around them were shocked. Some whispered and murmured about it. "That's what he's like. He will just f**k you and leave you." The woman can't believe of what she heard. "Henry?" "Babe, this woman is crazy. She's inventing stories," he said. "I broke up with her because she's like this. She's demanding and nagger. She always make up stories to catch my attention." The new girlfriend looked back at Berna. "I believe my boyfriend. You better leave us alone or you wouldn't like what I would do to you." They turned their back to leave. "Henry!" Berna shouted. She rushed towards them to stop them. Henry got pissed, he pushed hard that made her lose her balance and fall to the ground. "You better leave me alone!" He held his new girlfriend's hand and pulled her away from the crowd. "H-Henry!" Berna called him he's too far now. She was about to stand up when she felt an extreme pain in her tummy. "H'Henry!" She shouted in pain but he couldn't hear her anymore. Janine and Jackie looked at each other. They both rushed to help Berna. "What's wrong, are you okay?" Janine asked. "My tummy hurts..." she said. Jackie helped her to stand up. She felt a hot fluid running down her thighs. Blood flowed to her legs. "No..." "Oh my! You're bleeding!" Janine and Jackie caught her before falling down to the ground. Their female professor helped, too. "Someone, help!" the professor shouted. They both looked around to call for anyone to help them. "What's happening?" Marvin and Mark came by. "Help us!" Jackie shouted. Marvin immediately rushed to Berna and carried her. "Let's send her to the hospital," their professor said. "You both can go and look after her. I'll report this to the faculty and to her parents." Jackie picked all Berna's things on the floor. Janine attempted to pick one but she stopped her. "Don't touch anything. Remember?" "Right, I almost forgot." Marvin took Berna to his car, Janine, Jackie and Mark followed him. They both sat at the back, Berna's head was on Jackie's lap, while her legs were on Janine's. "She's unconscious now. I hope she's fine," Mark said, looking at the woman. The bleeding won't stop. Marvin stepped on the accelerator and drove fast. The staff immediately grabbed a stretcher and rushed towards the car. The two male staff took Berna out of the car and transferred her to the stretcher. They took her to the emergency room. "What happened to her?" The nurse asked them. "We're not sure, but I think she's pregnant," Janine replied. "Just wait here for a while. Can you fill out this form for her?" The nurse handed a form to Janine. She looked at Jackie. "I'll take care of it." Jackie took the form from the nurse. "I hope she has a name in here." She opened Berna's bag and looked for any information or identification. She found her wallet and opened it. "Bernadette Sarmiento," Jackie said while reading her identification card. She wrote all information stated from it. "Were the school able to call her parents?" Janine asked. "Ma'am Charice knows her. She didn't even ask for her name." "Maybe." Jackie handed the form back to the nurse. "I hope she's fine... and also her baby. I don't think she aborted it." Janine thought so, too. She's hoping she didn't abort it, and the baby is safe now. She looked at the emergency room's door, praying for the safety of Berna and her baby.
