23“Thank you for coming,” said Miles, greeting Sinclair at the entrance to the castle.
Sinclair assented his head slightly and stepped over the threshold. He stopped and looked around. The interior was in total contrast, not only to the exterior, but to Castle Strythe. The decor was bright and modern, clean lines and an open-plan arrangement giving such a sense of space Sinclair felt he had stepped inside a completely different building.
“You've never been here before?” asked Miles, gesturing for the manservant to take a seat in what was probably the living room.
“Never,” said Sinclair, moving over to a large, L-shaped sofa whilst Miles crossed into the kitchen area and prepared tea. “I had no idea it would be like this.”
