Now I think you’ve fixed my heart instead.Jeremy: (smiling, adjusting the cables) The wires are tangled, just like my feelings. Every time I look at you, sparks fly—literally.Mimi: Is this a church service or a love confession?Jeremy: Why not both? Let’s praise with our hearts and kiss with our souls.(They almost kiss, but Lulu bursts in holding two love letters.)Lulu: Interrupting something? Or should I bless this romance with holy water?Mimi: (laughing) You’re just jealous.Lulu: Jealous? Please. I’m the mailwoman of secret hearts. Regina: (raising an eyebrow) Only if you promise not to turn my soul inside out. Bartholomew: Every time I lay bricks for this church, I’m building altars to you. My prayers stopped being holy—they became yours. Regina: (softly) And my fasts... my meditations... have all led me here. To you. (They slowly take hands. Outside, lightning flashes blue across the stained glass. Prophet Delilah walks in.) Delilah: Love and lightning—same source, same strike. But beware. The same fire that warms may also burn. Bartholomew: Are we cursed to love in shadows? Delilah: No. Just tested. Heaven sends lightning to reveal—not destroy. Regina: Then let the sky fall. Let it write our names in its thunder. (Thunder cracks. They kiss. The vines on the walls glow golden. Choir voices rise softly in the distance.) --- Scene 2: Later That Night – Church Roof (Jeremy and Mimi lie on their backs, gazing at stars. Lulu sneaks up with cocoa mugs.) Lulu: The lovebirds have nested, I see. Jeremy: Don’t make me rewire your heart, Lulu. Mimi: (playfully) No, she needs a full reboot. Maybe a romantic upgrade. Lulu: (sighing) You two are disgusting. I love it. (They laugh, and all three sip from their mugs. Music swells below from choir practice. A romantic silence settles in.) Jeremy: I never believed in signs... but tonight? Even the lightning whispered your name. Mimi: Then let the heavens crash. As long as we’re holding hands, I won’t let go. --- Scene fades with warm amber lighting as the characters gaze up.
