the Mistake

the Ritual

Jerico hated the trip, like me, he kept his eyes open. We stopped about five minutes ago, and he’s spent this whole time puking. The rest are collecting firewood and hunting for deer. Everyone accepted each other and we’re working as a team, just like I wanted. The Yukon is actually really beautiful and felt just like home. I may buy some territory from here, be a perfect place especially if I make an alliance. Strange thing is Violet said she feels a connection here. 

“What do you think of putting the pack up here. It’s beautiful and very spacious. Plus if Valencias signs an alliance with us. Jerico?” I tried talking to him only to find him in a heap on the ground. What is this? Walking over I could see a dart sticking out of his sign. “We come in peace, I’m a new Alpha and Willona Tungl, I’m supposed to meet the White Dawn Pack. Can you take us to them.” Just then I felt a dart hit my side. Great this pack doesn’t want us here and I don’t even know what is going to happen. As my vision started to go black, I saw a beautiful woman stepping out of the trees.

Waking up I felt rested and in a comfy bed. Looking around I could see a brightly lit room, this is definitely not a prison room. Getting up, I walked to the bathroom, this place is absolutely amazing. I could see in the mirror that I am now in a long blue nightgown. “Alpha, where are you.” I seen Violet as I emerged from the bathroom. She seemed cheery and actually happy, nicely dressed as well. “Hey, you seem great today, where is everyone else, and call me Willona, your an equal.” She smiled and blushed. Wait her last name, if I’m right then that’ll explain somethings.

“Everyone is perfect and down in the kitchen. There’s something we need to tell you.” With this she walked out the door. Quickly getting dressed in the clothes she left me, I went to find the kitchen. Using her scent I found it in less than five minutes. There they were, my pack, all around a table. There seemed to be the beta, gamma, and the third in here a well, but the alpha wasn’t present. “Hey, how is everyone.” A series of good and hey alphas went around the circle, including the other pack. “Our Alpha will be back soon. We have a rogue problem. Also I’m Mitch the beta, this is Maria the gamma, and Tyler our head warrior.” The beta introduced and passed down the line to the end of their line. 

Midway through my egg and toast sandwich when Valencias came bursting through the door. “What is wrong with you, first you barge on my territory, then find out you have my long lost sister, and now there are rogues here for you.” This must be Valencias the alpha. What did she mean by I have her sister, unless I’m right. Before I could speak Violet ran to her trying to calm her down, I guess I am right. “I came here because this was my birth pack, my lineage comes from here. I had no way to reach you or I would have called. As for Violet she helped save me, and is now my beta female. The rogues I’m guessing have heard my proposition for them. I would also like to discuss a peace treaty and an alliance.” Surprising myself, I’m already acting like an Alpha.

She nodded for a moment thinking over what I just stated. “I will make an alliance with your pack. Thank you for helping my sister, the life as a rogue isn’t something anyone should have to face. There’s a lot of land to the south of us that is unclaimed, my pack will help you build your pack. As for the rogues, what is your proposition?” I knew I’d like her. Valencias and I’s minds work in similar ways, and I’m happy to hear my pack can be set up close. This alliance will help us both extremely well. 

“I sent word that I’m building a pack. Every rogue is welcome and have a chance to be with us. We will be different from other packs, I know you know about the witches that are with us. Also that everyone will be an equal and train, we’ll make our pack grow and work as one. No more of the power hungry leaders, the abuse, or the wrongful killings. I will bring forth the new age and I hope your with me on this.” All I got in return is the proud faces of my pack and the respectful ones of the other. They seemed to be happy with this and from what I’ve already seen, their pack runs this way. “We will stand with you, I agree with your views. Follow me and I’ll take you to your new pack members.” Valencias led us through a short path in the woods to a prison like structure.

“Willona, may we talk for a second, the others can go ahead.” I nodded to Valencias as the others walked through the door. “I’d like to start the paperwork after we are done here. The first thing in the morning, I'd like to start building your pack. Also I knew you and your mother, we used to play together. Your mother and mine would be very proud of us, both changing the game for packs. I also heard what happened with that pup, I’m here for you and I promise your strong and will lead perfectly.” Valencias seemed more as a sister now. I can’t believe I didn’t remember playing with her. She is right too, we don’t need a mate to lead, we’re strong and will show them that. Nodding to her, I began to walk to meet my new pack mates.

The cells are completely full, but they all seem to be taken care of. “I take care of them, I don’t exactly trust rogues, but they haven’t done anything so we let them roam free down here and the surrounding area.” This time Mitch spoke up, looking to me with  a smile. I could now see a two year old girl in his arms. That must be his daughter, seeing as they had similar features. There had to be fifty to sixty, maybe more wolves down here. They all stopped what they were doing to look up at us.

“Hello everyone. I’m Willona Tungl, the alpha of White Shadow Pack. This is Dex and Violet, they will be your betas. Then this is Jerico Farnese, he will be your gamma. Finally, this is Cesare forza, he will be your head warrior. We accept you with open arms, and will start the building of the pack tomorrow. I want you all to know that you’ll be treated as equals. All of you will be trained and notified about anything with the pack. I want us all to grow as one, instead of certain areas being strong. We will discuss how to do the layouts, who wants what jobs and responsibilities.” I received many cheers and smiling faces. I’ve decided after we get everything built, then we will do the ceremony.

“They really love you. Shall we go sign the papers and get everything set?” Valencias is right, the pack already loves us. Smiling and waving goodbye,we made our way to Valencias office. “With this treaty, do you want to make our border touch? That way our packs can visit each other easier.” I asked her. It would be easier that way. If he got in a war with someone, then we could easily be there, also help patrol eachothers borders. She seemed to think this over for a nit, “Yes I think that would be great. We could actually go in together on business, so that we could grow in the human world as well. I’m sure this will bring in a great income for both of us.” I couldn’t agree more with her.

It took us almost four hours to get everything signed with all our signatures. “So we will start at seven tomorrow, you’ll all need your rest.” We went our separate ways after we dismissed the meeting. I couldn’t shake the excitement from all that will be starting. Walking to my room, I caught the scent of Johanna and Esmeralda, I haven’t seen them since breakfast. “Hey where have you two been all day? The papers are all signed and we will be building everything at seven. What's wrong?” I hadn’t noticed their long faces until I was two feet away. I thought they’d be happy everything's going as planned. Esmeralda is the first to speak, “Our village is gone, a lot of the witches got away and their heading up here. Mikkel burned the village in anger when he found that we had fled. Sydney was the blame for all of this, she set you out, and was the first to go.” I couldn’t believe he would do this. He’s already mated to another, but I promise to avenge those who lost their lives to that monster. 

“He will pay for what he has done. The witches can live in both our packs. Our alliance states we can move freely between the two. We will make a special place for the witches, I want them all to know they have a safe place with us. Go get you so sleep, we have a big thing to do tomorrow.” They both nodded and headed to their rooms. I would have to talk to Valencias and let her know that more witches would be arriving. Now I just need to get some sleep, I already know tomorrow will be a long day.

I woke up at six so that I could get a shower and have some breakfast. There is this nagging feeling that I just can’t shake. Something is going to happen today, I just hope it’s good. “Hey, everyone ready to get this going.” Everyone was already down and just nodded in response. The pack members from the jail are supposed to meet us in the territory in about thirty minutes. Most of the men could build and some of the women as well. The rest are tasked with keeping up with the kid or gathering what we need. The first thing we’re building is the pack house, then I want a school built, then the shops and as we grow, more houses can be built. 

“Let’s get going. We have a lot to be built.” I couldn’t hold the excitement in anymore. Running to the first pickup truck I hopped in with Jerico and Tyler, they have hit it off pretty well. “Are you excited Alpha, we finally get our pack home.” No matter how many times I told Jerico not to call me alpha, he would anyways. He’d always say he wants to be respectful, but I’ll eventually get him out of it. “Yes, I’m really excited. Our pack already has close to eighty members. I believe we will have to build a whole lot.” Not being able to stop the excitement, I let out a tiny squill. This is the start of a wonderful life, and I’m happy to give rogues a second chance at life. 

“Alpha Tungl, there is a beta couple and a gamma at the site. Maria mindlinked me that their demanding to see you. Their from the Silver Lining Pack, and their being held there.” Tyler spoke over the silence. This must’ve been the feeling I couldn’t shake, but Mikkel won’t take me. It’s honestly sad that he’d really send the two people that’d stop the beatings, to retrieve me. I wonder who Alexi’s mate is, I’m happy he found his. We had a few more minutes to go, so I told Jerico to speed up. Upon arriving to the site, I couldn’t believe my eyes.

There they were, all three of the people that cared for me the most, before I left. I can’t believe they’d come here, especially her, why her. “Willona, I missed you so much. You’ll never believe what happened, you have to tell u everything.” My best friend Arabella was standing in front of me, heavily pregnant. I couldn’t speak or much less even move. She is the last person that I thought would ever take me back to him. “Why are you three here? I’m an alpha now, I’m sure you’ve heard. I will not be going back to Mikkel.” I couldn’t help the iciness drip from my voice. Arabella visibly flinched back, but I didn’t care. 

“Willona stop, we’re not here to take you back. We came to help you build this place up, and warn you. My father has spread the word of your gifts and the alpha’s are supposed to come for you. We want no part of it, you know we did what we could. Also we came to tell you that we’re having a baby boy, we’d like for him to know his aunt.” Alexi began to speak, wrapping his arms around Arabella. I’m not at all worried for the alphas, I already have a plan for that. To hear the news of the baby actually warmed my heart a lot. They are a sweet couple and deserve happiness. 

“You may stay here, tell Mikkel you went on a baby moon and took Dimitri so he could find his mate. I want you all to know me and Valencias have a plan.” Just then I felt her wrap an arm around my shoulders. Valencias had a way of drawing all attention to her, very well could be how her hair is solid white and she has deep purple eyes. “Welcome, I’m sure you’ve heard about me. I’m Valencias, alpha of  White Dawn Pack . Mikkel should back off, especially with two very strong female Alphas in alliance. Also who may you be, my lovely mate.” Just as she spoke mate, her and dimitri met in the middle. Well this is perfect, they will compliment each other very well. Just then I seen Jerico and Maria start to do the very same.

“Well it looks like I have a gamma female, you have an alpha male now, I bet Mikkel will be angry at this.” I just sniggered. This was absolutely perfect, he now has to find a new gamma. “Wait does that mean a position is open for us to join?” Arabella I knew would be the one to ask. She is right though, I could let Jerico go with Maria, and Arabella and Alexi could be my gammas. “Would you two be okay with being my gamma? Jerico can move to Valencias pack with Maria.” Arabella ran to me excitedly saying yes before I even finished. It is settled then, we both have a full pack other than Tyler and Cesare. This day has started out amazing.

The new witches arrived around 9:30 and jumped in with helping. From seven a.m to three p.m, we have built the pack house completely. It has six levels, floors two to six are all bedrooms, and the base level has the kitchen, dining room, and living room. The basement has two levels as well, the first is offices and the second is a gym. Tonight will be the ritual for the pack to be linked. Arabella was in charge of finding out how to do this with witches, she found out that I have to do the same as the wolves but my magick instead of my blood. The witches had got the ones who could teleport, to bring the houses till in tack. So far we only have four, but it’s enough to fit all the witches, they were even able to bring a few of the shops and their supplies.

Some of the herb witches got together and started making the farms. So far we have the pack house, four witches houses, one book store, one food store, and three green houses. We are working hard on getting everything rolling and started. More rogues have showed up and wanted to join us. We now have eighty five wolves and twenty witches, and another ten witches joined Valencias pack. The thing is, is that I have to activate her powers. We found out that she is from the same blood lines, only her dad was my mom’s younger brother. So she has the same abilities, but she can’t take over a Moon goddess unless, I don’t have an heir, it’s the same with Violet.

We’ve spent the last hour and a half working with their gifts. So far they have the white light, which Valencias needs to accept in the witches, and both can teleport. The book Arabella found is what we need to go off of for tonight. The alliance will become stronger as well, we will have to bind each other as well. This all needs to happen when the moon is the fullest tonight, which means we only have two hours to get ready and everything set. “Okay we all need to get ready for tonight. We should do this on our border, I think it would be more powerful.” Valencias and Violet agreed, so we went our separate ways to get ready. The rest of the packs are told to meet us on the border. 

“Are you ready? We only have thirty minute.” It was Dex, he’s been trying to get us to rush since ten. Violet, Maria, Valencias, Arabella, Kasey, and Sarah were all getting dressed. Sarah is Mitch’s mate, we met her when she brought Emily down for lunch. We all had on these long gowns that made us look like greek goddesses, Valencias and I both had on silver crowns and matching jewelry. All higher ups had on silver face markings, while the rest of the packs just had silver jewelry. “Yes we’re ready, is everything set up?” Violet answered her mate back. I’m beyond nervous to do this.

“Yes, now come on. We  need to start before twelve.” Dex is starting to get annoying. We still had time until it began. I know everyone is antsy, but jezze. Instead of answering we just walked out to the back yard. Everyone seemed to be waiting on us. They all dressed very lovely and absolutely looked amazing. Feeling proud of my pack, I gave them all a big smile. We began to make our way to the border. It was beautifully decorated with fairy lights connecting five big oak trees together. There was also a big stage set up with two deep chalaces. One had a cursive WD and the other had a cursive WS engraved on the front. 

“Shall we begin? Everyone joining the White Dawn Pack  then line up to the left. Everyone joining White Shadow Pack line up to the right please.” As I spoke out Valencias and I made our way to our chalaces. Within ten minutes everyone is lined up and ready. We had to drip a bit of blood of each of the wolves in the cups and had to draw out some essence of the witches. It took more than twenty minutes to get everyone's blood and essence. “Is everyone ready, remember to keep your head clear and slowly work into it. You ready Willona?” With that I nodded my head. We added some of our blood and essence to the chalice. We have to drink it all for it to work.

As the last bit slid down my throat, I felt all eighty five of my members. Can you hear me? I asked through the link to see if it went well or not. I received a series of yes alphas and surprised yes alphas. The surprised ones must be the witches. “It went well for me, what about you Valencias?” I’m curious to know if it worked for her as well as it did for me. Seeing her smiling told me that she did feel them too. “This is amazing, we are breaking history. We are the most powerful Alphas around.” To this I smiled and nodded. Just then I remembered that there is still a big event we have to do. “Hey you still have to make Dimitri the alpha male.” As realization hit her she ran to go find him. This is a big step for her pack, they finally have their alpha male. 

“Excuse me everyone. I nearly forgot that we have another important event tonight. Meet Dimitri Roman, he is your alpha male. And Jerico Farnese, he is your gamma male. Everyone welcome them.” A series of claps sounded around. I didn’t need to do this, because my pack is just now starting. Now for the festivities. “Everyone meet back at my pack house, we will have a bunch of games and a big bbq.” Everyone began to follow Valencias to the pack house. I plan to do some work tonight while everyone is enjoying themselves. The meeting with all the alphas needs arranged and the security of the pack. “Hey I’m going to get some food and head back, I need to get some work going. Y'all have fun.” I hugged them all as I got a plate and left.

Getting back I headed straight to my office, I had it put in my room as an easier way. Now should we start with America and travel to others, or just have an overall meeting? Volva has a great point. The thing is if we did it all together then the Alphas interested could come. If we travelled then we could bring back rogues. I think we should do both. That way we know who will be interested in this. Just send a mass text and a few envoys. Shutting off the link I began to get to work. I even sent one to Mikkel so he couldn’t say he’s been left out. “Dear alphas, I’d like to formally invite you to a meeting in my pack. I would love to discuss an alliance with all of you. Email me back, and we will go over the details. - Willona Tungl, Alpha of White Shadow Pack

I sent out more than fifty emails, and I’m expecting at least half of them to respond back. I’ll have to send an envoy to Iceland, Greenland, Scotland, Ireland, and a few throughout North and South America. Just then a phone call comes in from a restricted number. “Hello?” I don’t know who this could be. I plainly told all the alphas to reply back in an email, not call. Even still they shouldn’t have their numbers blocked. “Willona, what a pleasure. I’ll be seeing you very soon and you will go down.” Mikkel cut the call after that. I take it he’s not too happy to find a new beta and gamma. 

Hey guys, Mikkel called. He’s coming to the meeting and isn't too happy. They are my pack, I couldn’t lie to them. Plus I planned the meeting for three days from now on friday. We still have a lot of work to do, but I  have complete faith in them. We’ll be taken care of him. He’ll be coming to our pack and so far it is coming along very well. Plus we have a strong ally. Dex is right, anything he tries will be dealt with. I’m strong and Valencias is strong as well. She’ll be here with us and make alliances with us. Your right Dex, I want to build tents or something for them to stay in. We’ll talk about this later though, you guys have fun. With that I cut the link. 

Now we need to get everything set. I will have tents set up that are big enough for the Alpha and beta family. Also need to send out envoys, they’ll be sent first thing in the morning. I hope that a lot come, me and Valencias need these alliances. Our dynasty's are just beginning, and we will make this our legacy. I can feel something big will happen, but I’m hoping it’s just going to be the alliances. Looking at the time I could see it’s already two a.m, and I’ll need up early. Goodnight everyone, I’ll be sending out some envoys tomorrow so don’t stay up too late. With that I cut the link and climbed into bed. 

BEEEEEP BEEEEEEP BEEEEEP!!!!! Slapping my alarm off, I groggily walked to the bathroom. Seven a.m comes early, especially when you go to bed late. After getting dressed in comfortable clothes, I decided I need to check my emails. I’m hoping that most of the alphas have agreed to come and at the very least formally introduce themselves. Today the pack will be working a lot more on the pack village and our agricultural departments. I’m hoping this will impress the others since we have only officially been a pack for less than a week. 

Opening up my computer, I found I have forty-two emails. Most of them read that they’ll be arriving Thursday night, others stated that they weren’t able to make it but would love to set up another date. There is also a handful that refused to accept me as an alpha and told me never to contact them. Quickly I worked out a new date for the ones who couldn’t make it, and gave the correct information to the ones arriving thursday. This will be great, a lot will be coming and hopefully pass on the word to the other packs. 

Can ten of our best trackers come to my office please? I sent through the link and texted Valencias to do the same. We had agreed to split the load and work together on getting the packs to come. Within five minutes the trackers were in my office. “Hello everyone, I’d like for you to each be an envoy. Some of the packs we need are a bit off the grid. I’ll give each of you five letters to deliver as well as a teleporting witch. This will make it easier. You’ll be leaving in twenty, any further questions?” With that they all left. While their gone, I’m going to help with the building while their gone. Everything should be finished by tomorrow night.
