the Mistake

the Alphas

The day has finally come, the pack have been working no-stop to get everything in order. We have more shops and the farms have doubled in since. Our numbers are now up to two hundred and six, and Valencias's pack has grown to three hundred. This alliance had already helped us both. We've set up a few businesses in the cities, there's a couple markets and an armory shop. We set that up yesterday when we went to town for more supplies.

We also set up cabins through both territories for the alphas. We thought it would be best to have them through both. That way there's more room for all of us and can see both packs since we're both wanting alliances. They should be arriving tonight, two packs from South America had arrived last night and have already agreed to an alliance. They are both impressed and said they are glad to see a female alpha taking control. They agreed to talk to more of the alphas we couldn't get ahold of down in South America and other places we couldn't reach. 

Walking out of the pack house I smiled to the little kids playing. We decided to build a play area for the kids and they absolutely loved it. I could see them running from the swing sets to the slides, even the alpha and betas kids were playing. This brings warmth to my heart. These kids used to have to run for their lives, and now they are care free. "This is amazing. I can see how proud you are. I am as well. If I could go back to the day you saved us, I gladly would. That day was the best day, and now look at us. We have a pack and saving more people." Dex is right. That day they came to kidnap me, but they switched and began to make our pack. We have built our life together and will continue to. 

"Yes I agree. I can't wait to see your lil pup running around like these." I couldn't help, but giggle when I seen him blush. I know he was wanting one, but he is waiting on Violet and the right time. "I do and I can't wait to have one. I feel it's the right time now, since we our safe." That I agreed completely with. Now would be a great time to start a family. We already have three alliances and I'm sure many will be following. "I'm going to head over and get the other cabins ready. They should be here in a couple hours. Take care of yourself." With that I headed off to the cabins to the east of the territories. I wanted to make sure that all of them had food and would be comfortable in their stays. I had the witches to make so healing products.

I spent at least twenty minutes in each cabin, stocking the fridges and adding extra blankets. By the time I finished it, it is time for the alphas to start arriving. I'm going to go get in the shower. Have everyone head towards the meeting area. I mind linked to violet. I knew she would relay the message. I hurried and took a shower and dressed in a blue pant suit with black heels. I wanted to look at every professional for this meeting, and I hope I impressed everyone the way I impressed the first two. Yet again I have a feeling something big is on the way. Just breath Willona, everything will be perfectly fine. I caught the excitement in her voice, but before I could ask she cut the link. Well I guess we'll just have to see what it's about. Willona come on, the alphas are here. Arabella shouldn't be there, but I'll let it slide. She really should be taking care of my nephew.

I'm coming Arabella, but so help me God if that baby gets hurt. I linked back. I knew Mikkel will be angry, I just hope he doesn't go after her. The meeting will hold a lot of alphas and betas. Alot don't agree with the harming of a female, especially a pregnant one. That would also make them turn on him, that could work but I will not put her in harm's way. I must've been too engrossed in my thoughts to have realized that I was at the meeting place. "Hello everyone. I'd like to welcome you to my pack. My betas, Dex and Violet, my gamma's, Alexi and Arabella, and I, Willona the alpha. We would like to discuss a peace treaty or at least a formal introduction. My ally Alpha Valencias would also like to speak for an alliance." I went around introducing everyone. Then I motioned to Valencias when I mentioned her wanting an alliance as well. All the alphas nodded and smiled, except for Mikkel as I expected. He had a smug looking Andrea next to him, rubbing his arm affectionately. I could see that she wore no mark, this made me smirk. I knew his wolf wouldn't allow him to, and it makes this so much better. 

"I'd like to make an alliance. I respect that you have built up a great working empire in such a short time. Not to mention your blood lines run pure. My mate actually looks up to you, she started training the minute she learned of you. Your a true inspiration." A red headed man stated. He must be from on of the Scottish clans going from his accent. I smiled when I heard how his mate looks up to me. I knew I would become an inspiration, but I didn't know I would inspire Luna's as well. "This makes me happy to here. You my lady look stronger than me already. I respect you for this. I hope our alliance brings forth many great things." I told them both truthfully. This statement alone caused the other Luna's to smile more respectfully and look at me in a new light. Most of them probably thought I was a weak pup that couldn't handle my own, but standing here with me they sent the truth. Alpha, I'm on my way with the last alpha. He has just arrived due to a delay in his ship. It was Cesare. I wonder why he'd take a boat instead of planes. Unless he was on of the off-grid alphas. 

"We want no alliance. I only wanted to see what the pathetic alpha you've become. Does it hurt knowing that I have mated with your mate?" This time Andrea decided to speak up. All the others turned with disgust. It is a horrible act to mate with someone when they have a mate already. "How disgusting. We will be pulling our alliance from you. I find it highly disrespectful to brag about mating someones mate. Have some more respect for yourself." A Spanish Luna spoke up. She seemed strong willed like her mate. This was turning in my favor as well. They all knew he mated with someone after me. Looks like the problem is working itself out huh. I liked to Alexi and Arabella. They only smirked in return. Both of them knew how much I didn't want them here, but I had to out of respect. Agreed, the look on her face now is absolutely priceless. I love how the Luna stood up for you. They all support this. Arabella is right. They all looked at me with respect. This is perfect and exactly how I wanted it to work out. 

Just then this amazing scent it my nose. It's a cross between pine and fresh rain. Wait this can't be happening. "Mate." Oh his voice was perfect, but how on Earth is this possible. Slowly turning around I came face to face with a Savage looking man. By the looks of his and his accent he is the alpha of the Icelandic tribe. "How are you her mate! She is my mate, get away from her!" I was suddenly grabbed roughly by an angry looking Mikkel. He has no right to do this, he rejected me and mated another female. I grew more and more angry, as did my mate. I'd have to thank my mother for this later when I can speak to her. "Remove your hands now. We stopped being mates the minute you beat me and rejected me. Not counting the fact you mated another. Now either remove your hands or I will break them." I let every ounce of hatred I had for him drip from my voice. This man is barking up the wrong tree thinking I'll go back to him. You already buried himself the second he started hunting me. 

"You heard her. Remove your hands. Or I'll do it for her pup." He is absolutely amazing. He was dressed in deer skin pants with furs around his waist. This beautifully done runic tattoos all across his arms, chest, and back. I couldn't help but stare, only for him to smirk at me. I decided to teleport over to him since Mikkel wouldn't let me go. "Oh yeah I can teleport. You wouldn't stop so I moved." I started laughing at his shocked face. This is absolutely great to witness, and see Andrea's face drop. She thought she has something over me until he called me his mate. This is going to be an enjoyable show. "My pack will be merged with yours, we will discuss this later. Shall we get to the meeting." Wow I didn't expect him to say this. He's professional about this even though we just met. I decided it is best to continue the meeting and discuss with him later. Another thirty minutes later and all the packs agreed to an alliance, including Mikkel surprisingly. "We will continue off tomorrow, all of you will be escorted to your cabins. Feel free to roam and look around." After dismissing them I noticed Mikkel and Andrea stay back with me, my mate, my betas and gamma's as well as Valencias and Dimitri. I'm guessing they wished to talk, so I decided to stay as well. 

"Well spit it out, what is it you wish to discuss." I question them. It's odd that they just decided to stand there staring at us. Mikkel wore a grimm expression, while Andrea looked beyond mad. "I wish to talk about the fact you took my betas and gamma's. Also the fact you killed my mom." He's honestly back to this again. I never killed up and I don't understand why he'd continue to think that I did. This needed to be ended and ended now. "I never killed her. I tried to save her but I used to much of my magick to be able to heal her. You father's beta Elias led them to her. How about you go and take a look at him instead of blaming me." This is the honest truth whether he wanted it or not. In a flash he had me pinned against a tree. No longer did I feel the tingles of my mate, but a sharp pain that he too felt. I could see his anger so I just let him be until I saw a muscular hand grip his shoulder. In the blink of an eye Mikkel was bounced off a tree and I am being held by mate. "I'm Ernir Son of Bjørn, I will not let anyone hurt you. I know you can take care of yourself and I'm proud to have a strong mate,but you are mine and I will do anything for you." I fell in love with these words. This is how a mate is supposed to be, not abusive and cruel. I decided to let him hold me in his warm embrace. I could fall asleep like this if it wasn't for an annoying t**t named Andrea. "How dare you put your hands on him. I'll have you know we're the strongest pack in America." Oh please this has to be an epic joke. 

"Oh please pup, you may have used to be the strongest in Louisiana, but Willona and I are the strongest packs in the Americas and as we grow it'll be the world. Now we are in alliance, but I will not stand for disrespectful little twits. You need to grow up a lot and learn if you wish to stay his Luna." Valencias stated this with so much anger. She along with the rest of us didn’t take kindly to disrespect like this. I don’t understand what she thinks they’ll win from this, but I promise it won’t be great. “You will be escorted to your cabin. I suggest you straighten up and act right. You could easily lose many alliances today with how you act.” I motioned a guard to escort them. I am over both of them, and can’t wait for them to leave my territory. 

I started walking back to my office when I noticed Ernir following me. “I’m going to my office, if you wish to join that’s fine.” He came up beside me instead  of answering. We needed to discuss the whole mate thing and since he is an alpha, we need to talk about the packs. We reached my room fairly quickly, since most of the pack is out doing work. “Okay I don’t know how this is possible, but I had a mate and now I have you. I’d like to keep my pack here and hopefully bring your’s over.” As I spoke I watched him casually recline on my bed. I’m hoping he takes in all the information, because this is a mandatory topic. 

“I agree, the land is rich and I’ve been wanting a change in scenery. My pack will be coming over in the next couple weeks. As for the mate thing, I had one as well, but she died shortly after we met. We will start production on doubling the size as soon as I get more people over here. No need to worry about betas or gammas, both of mine died in war last spring and I couldn’t bring myself to replace them.” I felt happy and then sad at what he told me. He’s had too many people die that are important. I hope to help him and make a great life for the both of us. I know now that we both deserve a fresh start and happiness, this will be the start. 

Smiling to him, “I’m deeply sorry to hear. I hope that this is a fresh start and a life full of happiness. I’d like to start working on building more houses and possibly our own. We can use the cabins we already built as well.” This can work great. There are already twenty cabins built to hold ten or so people. We can put families in them or older people that get along. I’d also like to build a house for me and him and our family one day, this made me smile big. “That sounds good to me. Though this bed is comfy, I will be staying here with you. Tomorrow we will sign the merging papers, and everything  should be here in a month.” He sounded half asleep. I wonder why I’d take that long, I was told he only had three hundred members. I could offer to help teleport things here, I don’t know how he’d feel about it. 

“Hey, I and a few other can teleport thing here. It will help to transfer go quicker.” At this he raised up really quickly. I’m not sure if he is aware of who exactly I am. Even if he didn’t know, he is about to. “I’m the moon goddesses daughter. I have the abilities of a witch and so does my cousins, Violet and Valencias. We also have quite a few witches in our pack. That’s one of the reasons the pack was built up so quickly.” At first I was nervous about how he’d take it, but by the end I let my voice show how proud I am. Looking at him, I can see he is proud too. I’m glad he isn’t like Mikkel, and trying to kill me over my birthright. “I’d never try to hurt you. Even if you weren’t my mate. That pup Mikkel needs a hard lesson on how to be an alpha. He’s already lost a lot of support the second that everyone found out he condoned the beating of a child. That kind of actions are just uncalled for.” He grew angry by this. It is the truth after all.

“Hey don’t be upset. In a way it made me who I am, and the alpha I am. He’s already reaping what he sowed. We along with Valencias and Dimitri can grow as alphas and lead in a way that will continue to inspire.” I wrapped my arms around his torso. Instantly feeling us both relax. This is what I’ve been needing, a mate that actually wants to be my mate and try. I’m going to take a nap, please wake us up for supper. I sent to Violet and Arabella. I knew they’d be up and more than likely cooking. Wait did you just say WE? I cut the link before either of them could continue. I should have said to wake me up, but I can’t think straight when I’m wrapped in his arms. “Sleep little mate, we both need it.” He didn’t have to tell me again. That’s the last thing I remembered before I snuggled into him and drifted off into a deep sleep. 

“Hey waky waky, eggs and bakey.” Slapping at the had poking me, I cuddled further into my comfy pillow. Strange enough it started to move, and I ended up underneath it. “Leave us be, we’re comfy.” The gruff voice of my mate mumbled through my hair. It’s adorable how his sleepy voice is, and how cuddly he is. I couldn’t stop the giggles that escaped me, “You know Ernir, for a big strong man you sure love to cuddle.” I kept giggling and he soon joined in with a chuckle. His laugh is absolute music to my ears, I vow to make him laugh for the rest of our lives. Suddenly he looked down at me with a smirk, “You do know the moment you accepted me that I can now read your mind. It’s a mate link, it’ll strengthen once we fully mate. I also vow to make  you laugh for the rest of our days litli ulfur.” I didn’t know this. I’m going to have to read a lot up on mates.

“Wait what does litli ulfur mean?” I questioned him. I knew he was an Icelandic alpha, but I don’t know any of the language. I will need to be taught, I wish to speak to my new people. “It means little wolf, and I’ll help you with learning it beautiful.” I need to block my thoughts from him. I’m happy he’s also going to teach me his language. Also his adorable nickname for me is the sweetest. This man will bring a lot of happiness to my pack and to anything we will face. I don’t know if it me falling for him or the mate bond, but I reached up and kissed his cheek. I felt him smile and this completely warmed my heart. 

“Excuse us, we’re still here. Dinner is ready, now be down in less than five minutes. Don’t make me have to come back up here for you.” Arabella strutted out the door with Alexi hot on her heels. She’s become more sassy since she got pregnant. Speaking of which she should be due in a month or so. Grumbling Ernir rolled off of me and put on his boots. We may need to update his style when we meet with the humans. “What if I don’t want to meet the humans or change how I dress myself.” Jezz he needs to stay out of my head. Huffing I hurriedly put on some shoes and ran out the door. I am starving and need away from my nodey mate. I’m not sure how their going to adjust, but I hope it’s great. 

“Hey everyone, ooooo you mad lasagna my favorite. Oh how I love you ladies.” I entered the kitchen to see a bit of the pack already. I could also smell Arabella  lasagna. She knew how much I love it, I’d marry it if I could. “Hey now, your supposed to say that about me.” I tried to sheepishly hide from Ernir. He has a certain way of making me blush and a warm feeling fill me. Hearing a few woop woops, I turned around to see the pack watching us very closely. I almost forgot that I haven’t told them. “Pack, I’d like you to meet my mate, Alpha Ernir. His pack will be coming here and joining us through the next few months.” I wasn’t able to completely finish before everyone was squealing in excitement. Ernir was smiling proudly at all of them, this seemed to make them even more joyous.

“Do you mind if a few of us alphas join in on dinner?” The spanish Luna from before came up and asked me. I liked that she asked instead of just showing up. “Yes, there’s plenty to go around and I think we’re going to more it to the back yard where there is more room. Will you help me to let everyone know?” I questioned in return. I thought it would be better and more respectful to invite everyone. This is also a great time to let the pack chill and get to know the other alphas. Nodding she grabbed her mates arm and ran out the door. I did the same with Ernir and headed towards the west and south. 

It took about thirty minutes or so to notify my section of alphas. The only one we have left would be Mikkel and Andrea. I would rather them not come, but they are an ally now I have to be respectful. “I’ll ask litli ulfur.” This time I’m thankful he can read my mind. I really didn’t want to speak to either of them if I could help it. Quickly making our way up the small staircase, Ernir rapped on the door. The smell of Andrea is getting closer, and all I wanted to do is gag. “Oh hello there, can I help you will something love.” She went to grab his arm, but he moved back with a growl. She tried to flirt with him, but I’m he put her in her place. It’s about time she learned what place she has and doesn’t have. 

“Get your alpha. You’ve been invited to dinner. Touch me or try to flirt again and I will not hold Willona from putting you in your place. Are we understood?” Her mouth instantly hit the ground with his words. He didn’t take kindly to this disrespect and neither did I. She turned and began crying for Mikkel. It isn’t long before he comes to the door looking angry. “What did you do to my mate? She said you're both being rude and threatened her.” He is actually seething. That twit really went and lied to him. I can't say I’m surprised, but I will clear this little misunderstanding up for him. “First off, we weren’t rude. She tried to flirt with Ernir and that is the ultimate disrespect. We are here to invite you to dinner with us, our pack, and the other alphas.” I can see his eyes visibly darken when I mention Ernir and I as one. I know hi wolf is hurt, but there is nothing I can do.

“Kane, I need you to fully mate Andrea. I know your upset by what Mikkel has done, but it can’t be changed. You still have a chance for pups and a Luna. Let him shift again and be the alpha your pack needs.” Kane I know is in control. He looked at me with this sad and heartbroken look. I know he wishes to take everything back, but it is too late. Ernir just wrapped his arm around me, he too knew this needed to be done. Kane simply dropped his head and muttered, “I’m sorry for everything we’ve caused you. I tried my best to be the mate you deserved, but he is hung up on the lies. I will let him be one with me again, but I can never forgive him for this. I want our packs to be close allies and hopefully friends.” With that Kane gave control back to Mikkel. I knew this would be hard, but I will be a good ally with them.

“Thank you. I am deeply sorry as well. I know now that I’ve been lied to. Please forgive me. I will get Andrea to stop with her pettiness as well.” He still looked pitiful and sad, but better at the same time. He needed his wolf back and to actually discuss this with me. I don’t hold anything against him anymore. Leading back to the yard, I let myself be engrossed in my thoughts. I’m proud of you litli ulfur. You did something not many could even think about. I’m proud to have a strong mate like you. Ernir knew exactly what to say to make me blush. He is right though, most die when their rejected. Not me, I stood up and became a lot stronger. Thankyou my love. I’m very proud of myself honestly. If it wasn’t for your support, then I probably couldn’t have done it. We just smiled and embraced each other even more.
