My Brothers Keeper

Samuel's POV......

When I arrived at Hecate coven I wasn't sure if I would ask the Grand Master for help. I didn't trust witches; their intentions are never clear. But when I had her close I felt like I could trust her. Weird I know but I'm glad I did, she agreed to help me and now it wasn't just me and Luce trying to help Dean.

I arrived at Lycaon and found Josh and Ryan looking anxious.

When I walked up the steps of the pack house they came rushing towards me.

"What's wrong? Why is everyone still awake?"

" The King is waiting for you....he isn't in a good mood." Josh told me , woody all over his face.

" When is he ever? Is he in his office?"

"Yes Beta."

I just nodded and made my way to Dean's office. Lucia was pacing in the hallway , when she saw me she rushed over to me.

“Where have you been?” She whispered.

“I went to the witch thing I told you about. Why?” I whispered back.

“Whatever you did, he knows.”

I felt my pulse race and my mouth dry up. I hugged Lucia to try to calm her down . She was so scared for me. “Relax Luce , I did nothing, ok?” She nodded and I made my way to the door.

I knocked on the door and let myself in, Dean was standing on the far side of the office with his back turned to me.

“Hey Dean, I’m back.” I said walking in. Dean turned around and looked at me. They were right, he did not look happy at all.

“How was it?” Dean asked. “Oh you know the same old.” I answered, trying to sound casual.

“Hmm..Anything interesting happen?” Dean asked, walking up to me with his hands behind his back. I just shook my head. “Not that I can think of.”

“Really? Hmmm. Well let me remind you.” Dean grabbed me by my neck and pinned me to the wall. “You wanna tell me what was so f*****g interesting that you had to speak with the witch alone?” Dean growled through his teeth .

“How did you know that?” I asked, gasping for air .

“Oh I have my ways.” He answered, loosening his grip so I could breathe.

“So? What was it?” Dean asked again.

“Nothing important.” I assured him still trying hard to breath.

With one hand he held my neck and with the other he hit my face so hard I felt my cheek bone break.

“You were in there with her for about half an hour! And your gonna tell me you talked about nothing?!” Dean roared. His eyes where laced with neon green.

“We didn’t really talk.” I said, trying to insinuate something. My answer didn't please him but it was enough for him to let me go.

when he finally let me go he continued snarling at me,“If you ever betray me, Samuel ...I will kill you.”

My eyes widened, not believing what had just happened , “I wont like it but i’ll do it. Keep that in mind.” Dean growled.

I just nodded. Nothing he tells me surprises me now. I never thought he was capable of anything against me. But now I know better. He started walking out of the office.

“Dean, how did you know? Did you have me followed?”

Dean looked back at me with a smirk. “Trust no one Samuel, least of all the ones that are supposed to love you.”

It was hard to believe he wouldn't trust me after all we've been through together. But this is what he’s turned into.

He walked out, “I’m going to bed.”

I was left there hurt thinking he was getting so much worse.

I walked out o the office with blood still on my face.

Luce saw me and her face said everything she was thinking.

She was beyond pissed. I saw her tears fall down her face as her head hung. She took me by the hand and lead me to her room. We were silent while I sat on her bed and she entered the restroom to get first aid supplies.

"This isn't necessary Luce I'll heal."

"You know this wound was caused by an Alpha so it'll take longer to heal. But now that he's a King only the Goddess knows how long it'll take."

She took the peroxide and cleaned the wound, the bone had already began to heal . But the cut was still there.

"This is the worse he's been." Luce said while dressing my face.

"I know. I still can't believe he did this."

She finished and tucked her hair behind her ear.

"Sam I know you don't like when I say this but..."

"Then Don't . I really don't need to have this conversation again tonight. Not to mention it's not safe. What if he's hearing us. He had me followed to Hecate so it's safe to say he has me watched here too."

She got pensive for a moment the took my hand, "Whatever it is....please be careful. We've already lost our Alpha we can't lose you as well."

"You think we've lost him?"

"Look what he did to you tonight. I think its safe to say he's long gone."

How could she think that? How could she just give up?

I released myself from her grip and stood up.

"We haven't lost our Alpha yet, Lucia. So pray to the Goddess that we don't because if that day comes I can assure you that you and everyone else will lose me too."

"Sam I didn't' mean to..."

"It's ok. I sometimes forget Dean is my problem and I'm alone in this."

"NO Sam....."

"Goodnight Lucia. Thank you for the medical attention."

I walked out before I lost it . Dean is all I have , I'm all he has. So no I will not let him disappear. He was my keeper for 30 yrs before all this happened and now it was my turn to be his. I will not give up on him.
