Episode1
Amelia's POV
Missing Person
"To a new beginning, cheers!"
The clink of glass cups resonated throughout the hall.
I stared absently at the star of the ceremony, my cousin.
She smiled so vibrantly in her bright white wedding dress. Her groom also gave her a dazzling smile as he leaned in for the kiss that sealed their deal.
"Cheers Amelia." The person sitting in front of me at the little round table reminded me of the cheers.
"Oh. Cheers." I replied as I raised my glass to his.
But even then the smile on my face wasn't complete.
Not like I wasn't happy for my cousin- how could I not be when she smiled so brightly?
And I was also happy to be at home again, surrounded by family. But I still felt cold.
Watching my cousin and her groom brought back the past I had tried so hard to run from.
The reason I had left my family behind in the first place.
I took a drink from my glass as I forced a smile at my cousin who was tearing up at her husband's speech. There was a scar in my heart that I no longer believed could heal.
Once I had also been in love like my married cousin.
But my childhood sweetheart who I had thought would be my husband forever had instead left a permanent scar on my heart. We were so in love and one day, he disappeared with no traces.
Of course I had to run away from here.
"Amelia, let's go grab the flower!" A younger girl said as she dragged me from my seat.
I gave her a smile as I struggled to not spill my drink.
The bride was about to throw her flower. Allegedly the person who caught it would get married next. Funny.
"Amelia. There are some people I want you to meet." Mother's voice distracted me and I completely missed the flower which landed beside me. It was snatched immediately by another cousin.
"What are you talking about?" I asked cautiously.
"Just follow me, they are standing over there." Mother said as she pointed over to a group of people standing in a dark corner of the hall.
“Who are those?” I asked as I stared at the men standing there.
In that dark light, they looked like predators with a lecherous glint to their eyes but to my mother, they seemed like responsible men who had well-paying jobs.
“Amelia, I want to introduce you to some men there. Let another good thing come out of this gathering at least.” Mother said.
“For?” I asked.
“What do you think?” Her brows pulled together in annoyance.
“I’m sorry, I don’t think I can go right now. I’m not feeling too well.” I hesitated because honestly, I was in no mood for her arranged marriage tactics. I wasn’t going to do this with her.
“Nonsense.” Mother said as she grabbed hold of my hand. “I won’t be having any of that. You’re following me now.”
Mother was always so stubborn. She was going to force me to do this no matter what. I had to think fast of a way to get out of this.
I lifted my glass of wine up to my lips- then I let go. The wine spilled on my dress and the glass fell.
Mother jumped back as the glass shattered on the hardwood floor.
“Amelia!” She glared daggers at me, knowing that I did it on purpose.
“Sorry, I have to use the bathroom.” I called as I scurried out of the room to escape the gazes I had attracted with my loud stunt.
I rushed into the bathroom, turning on the faucet the moment I got in. I splashed water on my face and immediately left through the house’s back door.
…
I poured another glass of tequila into a tiny cup. Unlike the bland party wine this was good alcohol.
The music filled the room around me and the dance floor bubbled with lively people and their erratic dance steps.
Their faces were barely visible thanks to the neon pink lights flickering around the room but I could tell that they were either high or just excited.
"Would you like more tequila?" A waiter asked me.
I nodded in the positive so she dropped a bottle of tequila on my table.
The night club staff were familiar with me so they always knew what to bring me. Asking was really just a formality.
"I haven't seen you here in awhile." The waiter mentioned as he adjusted the tray of drinks in his hand.
"Yeah Greg, I was out of town for some time now.” I answered.
"But I see you're still coming for a night drink eh." Greg smirked as he moved to the next table.
A soft sigh escaped my lips as I took another drink. I used to sneak out of my house to come to this night club. It was a place I was familiar with and comfortable in.
But of course there was always a catch.
I glanced down to the empty seat in front of me.
Jason used to sit there and laugh so loudly with me.
So many memories were made here with my childhood sweetheart.
Memories that I wanted nothing more than to forget.
I filled my shot glass to the brim and some alcohol spilled over.
I drank the rest, hoping it would help me forget as tears sprang into my eyes.
"Hey stranger. You want me to buy you a drink? That one won't last long." He said as he pulled back Jason's chair and took a seat.
I looked up to see a manly figure with deep blue eyes that kept me staring for a while.
Damn. This had to be the most handsome man I'd seen in a long time. His eyes, his pointed nose, his small lips and clean jawline, everything was a sight to behold!
His dark hair fell over his face in a way that made me want to pull them to the side to see the full view of his gorgeous face but I remained rooted in my seat.
"You're…so..handsome." I blurted out in a slurred voice.
"Oh? I think you're pretty too." His lips curled into a smile.
“And very… interesting.” He winked as his gaze flickered down at my dress.
…
I kissed him deeply as we tore off our clothes. I wasn’t even sure how I had ended up in his room because it was all a blur.
My passion was inflamed by being drunk but he still managed to reciprocate it.
We jumped on the bed and our bodies danced in rhythmic s****l sensations in the moonlight.
His hand was everywhere on my body—squeezing, caressing, pinching. The perfect combination of pain and pleasure!
The moment he thrust his stalk inside me, I found my lips quivering into soft moans and whimpers in ecstacy.
And the rest was history.
