To Philip’s surprise, Ellen had not come around since Wentworth and Larry’s arrival. He began to worry about that, so one day, while Wentworth worked with Adam, trying to see what powers he might have, and Larry went running, Philip and Barnabas walked to her place.
He found her in her back garden. Looking up from pulling weeds she waved, waiting for him to join her. Without preamble she handed him an empty trash bag and told him to make himself useful.
