Chapter 5
A week passed after the evening with Ellen. Adam’s linguistic skills improved to the point that he only had to question an occasional slang term when Philip used it. After a lot of cajoling, and some real, and emotional, bribery, Philip managed to arrange for his contact at the slaughter house to make weekly deliveries of animal blood in refrigerated containers that Philip ordered and sent to him to use.
He and Adam settled into a daily routine that seemed to work for both of them. Adam would spend a couple of hours on the computer while Philip did household chores and then he would find a book to read while Philip took over the computer to write.
