Chapter 7 “May I speak to Mr. Philip Becket,” a man’s voice asked when Philip answered the phone. “Speaking.” “Mr. Becket, my name is Raymond Mullen. I represent the estate of the late Marshall Becket.” “Excuse me? Who?” “You are Philip Alan Becket, born May 28, 1989 in Chicago, Illinois, correct.” “Yes.” Adam glanced at Philip from the computer. Apparently picking up on the look of puzzlement on his face, he came over to sit on the arm of the sofa beside him, mouthing, “What?” Philip shook his head as he said to Mr. Mullen, “Who is this Marshall Becket to me? I’ve never heard of him.” “He was your father’s brother, ergo your uncle.” Blowing out a long breath, Philip nodded. “I never knew my father. He died soon after I was born. My mother never mentioned that he had a brother.”
