Our story

Chapter Seven

Jasmine Pov:

"Jasmine, Jasmine." Jason called me. "Huh." I answered, snapping out of my daze. "What is it." I snapped at Julian. "Where is your mind at." He asks. "I have been calling you for years-s." He exaggerated stretching his words, making me roll my eyes. I sigh deeply flopping down on my car seat. "It's nothing. I just remembered something."

I said, turning towards my car door window. My mind flashing back to my encounter with Mr gorgeous. "Pick a side girl. First you say it's nothing then you say it's something. Pick a side." Julisn said bringing me back to the present. I look to Julian like he was stupid, before turning back to the window unable to form a word.

"Oh come on. I was only tryna cheer you up." He said looking disappointed. "So tell me, what's really on your mind." He asks seriously.

I look at him then remember the events that happened today with the handsome lecturer Damien again. I looked down blushing. Goddess just the thought of his name already has me wet. Why does he have so much effect on me. I don't even know him. I thought to myself.

"Earth to Jasmine!" Jason exclaimed snapping me from my daze yet again. "Hello am still here. What are you thinking that has got you zoning out all the time." Jason asks. Thankfully he didn't seem to notice my blush. "Nothing" i lied, hiding my cheeks behind the hoodie i wore. I couldn't tell him i was thinking of my hot professor.

"It's definitely not nothing." Jason pushed. "Look at that deep blush on your face." He snickers gesturing to my cheeks under the hoodie. "There is no blush on my face." I say quietly touching my cheeks before sinking more into my sit and checking my face with a mirror and goddess i was redder than a tomato.

"its a guy, isn't it." Jason says raising his eyebrows teasingly at me. I look at Jason for a while before groaning and sinking more onto my sit, covering my face with my hands.

When we got to the pack there were so many people at our mansion. Pack members.

My pack was a big one so unlike other packs that live close to each other, we hardly see eye to eye because of how big my pack is.

Jason and i got out of the car and walked towards the front door. On seeing us the pack members who knew us bowed their heads. Those who didn't, got informed from the person next to them. And once they realize they bow quickly as a sign of respect.

We got into the house and to say it was full was an understatement. The house was packed with people. I quickly used my link to my parents to find them. I dragged Julian towards their direction.

"Mum, dad what's going on". I asked the minute i got to them. "Oh hey princess." My dad acknowledges me, hugging me and giving my brother a pat.

"It's nothing. They have been some vampire killings around, so people are on high alert." He said, looking too relaxed. "What!" I exclaimed. "Vampire killings? Dad if it's true then why are you so relaxed." I ask already panicking. "Why was i not informed about this also." I asked feeling hurt. "First of all love. Who said it was true?" Dad asked me. "And even if it is true. The vampire king would be coming to the pack to make sure we are all safe, so don't think too much about it honey okay." Dad assured me. I nod, visibly relaxing.

"But wait, why the vampire king, isn't he okay with this. I mean the vampires are the ones doing this right. We shouldn't trust strangers." Jason said, voicing out my thoughts.

"I know baby." Mum said. "That's why we are on high alert. Jason trust me. We wouldn't agree to this if we are not sure about it." Mum said, squeezing my brother's shoulder. She gives us both a small smile before turning back to my father.

I decided to go upstairs to my bedroom hoping to avoid the crowd that has formed in my living room. Immediately i got upstairs i flopped down on my bed feeling very tired. I pull out my phone and decided to watch a movie.

"Aurora baby, wake up. Please Aurora stand up we have to go." A woman spoke. "O queen Gizelle come out, come out, wherever you are and lay your throat bare." The voice said in a sing-song maniacal manner. The woman carrying me cover her mouth as if to stop from talking. The voice sounded like that of a man.

The woman named Gizelle carried me and gesture for me to be quiet before running towards the window carefully and jumping out. She landed on the ground with ease and carried on running with me in her hands.

We ran for a while before getting to a tunnel and entering. "Damon, Damon!" The woman exclaimed in a hushed tone. "You got her, good. We have to start moving." The man said taking me from the woman into his own hands. He propped me on his shoulder with one hand and took the woman's hand in the other. "Follow me." he said speaking to someone behind him who i couldn't see.

We ran till we got to the end of the tunnel. The man who was holding me in his arms put me down on the ground giving me to the woman. He then turned to the woman and kissed her forehead and then her lips. "My love, take care of our daughter. If anything happens to me promise that you and Aurora would be safe". He said on shaky voice, holding the woman's face. "Remember i love you both so much, more than my own life." He gave the woman a small smile before hugging her tightly and bending down to kiss me on the head. He looked at the woman for awhile before running through the tunnel we came from.

The woman burst into tears but quickly covered her mouth to muffle her cries. She turned to me and bend to my level. "It's just us now little warrior." The woman said with a shaky voice. We have to survive for daddy okay?." She asked and little me nodded.

She gave me a small smile and picked me up and started to run at an inhumane speed until we were covered by thick bushes.

We heard voices behind us getting closer and the same man's voice from earlier shouted again for us to be found and brought to him dead or alive.

The woman then put me down and gave me the same pep talk from my last dream before kissing me on the head and telling me to run towards a wall and be safe. I ran while the woman turned towards the voice and let out an inhumane growl before running towards the voices. I just kept running till i hit the wall.

I wake up panting heavily. I remember everything from my dream. Normally i don't remember when i wake up but this time i remember everything and am terrified. I look at the time and it's 5am in the morning already.

I rub my hand over my face before getting out of bed. I look down at myself realizing i slept in my clothes for yesterday. I groan walking into the bathroom, i wash my face and change into my pajamas before going back and flopping down on my bed.

I doubt i would be able to fall asleep again so I decide to go get a night snack. I opened my room door and the whole house was so quiet. I tiptoe down the stairs and into the kitchen. I got into the kitchen and turned on the lights and kitchen was so quiet and surprisingly squeaky clean considering the amount of people in the house earlier.

I go to the refrigerator and grab a bag of chips. I tend to stress eat alot, especially after one of my dreams, I get very hungry. Sitting on the kitchen counter alone the house felt eeriely quiet, which spooked me abit. So i decided to go eat my chips in my room. I tiptoe back up the stairs and into my bedroom. I sat down on my bed with the bag of chips in my hand, taking the remote from my nightstand i turn on the tv and decided to watch a movie hopefully it will help get my mind off things.

But my mind just kept rewinding back to yesterday and i made up my mind to ask my parents about it tomorrow.
