Damien's Pov: "Sorry am late sir, i....." She froze and so did i. How the f**k did she end up in my class. Those damned gods were really trying my patience, weren't they. I looked her up and down and goddess did she look sexy as hell. I wanted her so bad. I cleared my throat and hardened my face. "Well hello miss.......?" I paused cause i did not know her name. I looked at her expectantly, arching my eyebrow. " Jasmine, my name is Jasmine." She replied, still looking a bit stunned to see me. "Well miss jasmine, i hope this will be the last time you will come to my class late. I hate tardiness." I said, trying to keep my senses straight. "Now go find a sit." I told her but she just remained standing, like she was lost or something. I looked at her and realized she probably was not listening. "Jasmine." I called. I loved how her name rolled off my tongue." Are you listening." Seeming to have brought her back to earth. She looked at me like she just remembered i was still talking. "Y-Yeah sorry what were you saying." She asked. "I told you to find a seat." I repeated. "Okay." she said with a deep blush before walking to the seats. I took a deep breath and turned back to the projector, trying to get my mind off her and back to the topic, but even that seemed impossible. Throughout my lecture, i kept stealing glances at her. I noticed her speaking to an elf and that made my blood boil with jealousy. Even if i could tell he was gay. After awhile of teaching and glancing at her. I decided to trap her with a question. I needed to end whatever chitchat was going on between she and that scrauny elf. "So who can tell me how the natural order shifted." I asked. I pretended to look through the students before focusing back on my target. "Jasmine tell us." I said, knowing she wasn't paying attention. "Hmm, sorry sir. This is my first day here, i don't know the answer." She said looking at me. "I just explained it Jasmine, but clearly you weren't paying attention." I said, gesturing between her and elf boy. With that she blushed deeply and looked down at her hands. I sighed. "Sit down." I told her. "Oh and Jasmine, see me after class." I told her before looking back at the projector. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The class ends and all the students file out the door. I sit at the desk going through some contract that according to Jason was “important”. "Sir, am really sorry for coming late to class, it won't happen again really." She apologized honestly. I was taken back by her apology. I had heard stories about her pack and their pride. It surprised me to see her so humble. "Miss Jasmine this isn't about you coming late. i tell her, standing from my sit and walking towards her stopping just a few inches away. She tenses up and looks at me in the eye before asking me. "So what is it about then." I lick my lips, taking a step back from her. "Well this is about-". "Wait, its about me not paying attention right." She interrupts me. "No." I shake my head. "Now would you let my speak?" I asked her calmly. "It's about business. First of all, i know you are a werewolf and your father owns j j j enterprises correct?" I asked her swirling my pen. "Yes." she eyes me suspiciously. "Why do you ask?" She asks me. "I would like to partner with your alpha." I told her. "I heard you wolves have one of the best wine making businesses." "Yes sir". She replied. "Call me Damien." i said standing from my sit and walking towards her. "Why? you are my lecturer, i should be formal with you." She told me, stepping back from me still suspicious. "Yes, but right now. I am just a man. Classes are over so i am no longer your lecturer." "Okay" She nods. "Damien" She tested and i almost melt. My name sounded so good coming from her it was like honey. I cleared my throat before continuing. "So, do we have an understanding". i ask her. "I will talk to my alpha and give you an answer." She said. I nod. "Good, that will be all for now." I dismissed her turning to my laptop. She took her bag and was about to leave. "Wait jasmine. Classes begin by 8am not 10am. So don't be late." I told her teasingly. She looked confused but later realized what i said. She looked down and blushed and God, it suddenly became hot in the hall. "Sure". She said before turning and walking out the door. When i was sure she was gone i let out a deep breath loosening my tie. I really don't think i can keep it up, but i have to. I want her, but i don't want her getting hurt. I drive into my house to see Jason and some other people waiting for me. I park my car in the garage and get down to see Jason coming towards me. "Jason what is this." i ask, annoyed at the uninformed gathering. "It's the council. They just showed up." He defended, also looking a bit offended by it. Groaning i walk past Jason and towards this uninvited council. "What do i owe this pleasure." I ask, clearly sarcastic. "My king." they all bowed in unison. We are sorry for the intrusion the older looking vampire amongst them spoke. "We are here because an important issue have been brought to us and we need to address it." On hearing that i look to Jason with a glare that says "It better not be what i think it is." Jason's eyes widen a little, understanding me. "I would never do that." He mind linked me. "You know am loyal to you and only you." He said. My glare softens and i turn back to the council. "Well lets not keep each other standing. Lets go inside shall we. I suggested before taking the lead and all four of them behind me. We get inside my house and i sit down.So do they. I signal for drinks to be brought to us. "So what is this important matter that could not wait for me to come back home. I asked them trying to contain my anger. "Hmm." The oldest among them started joining his hands together nervously. "My lord. It has been brought to our notice that the werewolves seem to be waging war against the vampires." He said holding his breath. " Why?" I asked calmly. "Well my lord there are rumors that a pack form the werewolves hunted down and killed an entire vampire clan. Now the vampires are angry and want to take revenge." The youngest of them spoke. "And have you done any investigations to confirm or debunk this. I ask them. They look at each other anxiously before answering me. "N-no my lord b-but we are working on it. We thought we should inform you first before any further actions on our part." The only one who has not spoken up said. I remained quiet, putting them in suspense. "M-my lord." The eldest one spoke. Where have this killings been rumored to take place." I asked them. "In this city my lord that is why we deemed it urgent enough for your ears." One of them said. I nodded. "Okay, i want all my spies planted in every part of the city. Once this rumor is confirmed. Action will be taken, but for now debunk this rumor and bury it to the public. If we are going to catch the killers we have to be careful about it." I say, before standing up and walking towards the elevator leading to my bedroom. I get into the elevator and turn to the council. "You are dismissed." I tell them, hitting the elevator button. Once the elevator closes, my eyes turned red. If this is true those vampires have to be stopped. I would be damned if anyone came near "my fated."
