Liberty rolled his eyes. “Do I really need to repeat them?” He let out a tired gruff before feeling Naomi’s palms digging in the skin of his cheeks. “Yes, babe! I need to know that you really got all of my words in your head.” Naomi furrowed her eyebrows as she held intense eye contact with Liberty. He could tell she was anxious. More than anxious. Her eyes told him how she was overthinking things.
“Fine.” Liberty sighed as he reached out his hands to place over Naomi’s knuckles. “If I cannot apologize to him and him vice versa, I will try my best to get along with him even if it’s just for today.” He made sure to accentuate every word, every syllable so his lover would get enough reassurance that he was taking their situation seriously.
