For humans, danger comes shortly after red lights and stop signs. For angels, it comes in bright luminous feathers scattered around the cold tiles beneath their feet. Maybe not for all angels, but certainly for Yael. “f**k this, I’m running out of time.” He grunted in displeasure as he stared at his poor reflection in the mirror. Seeing the only thing he was proud of—his magnificent 10 foot wings, once bright and full of life, crumbling down feather by feather, was almost enough to drive him insane. Yael took a deep breath. He didn’t realize that he'd been holding the edge of the white sink with his trembling hands so tightly, his knuckles turning white, until it broke into two under his touch.
