Imagine#1
You've quite frankly had enough once again there he was, on the front of another magazine with someone other than his current girlfriend, you. You pick up an issue, hastily walk to the end of the aisle and make your way to the cash register. You pay and get out of there as quickly as possible, not in the mood to get noticed by anyone today. As you make your way to the apartment, you can't stop thinking about this whole thing. One week its Alexandria, the next its some model named Victoria and this week its "Ashley". You don't understand why you even bought the magazine, reading further about it surely wasn't going to help the situation. You get home to your and Cody's shared flat. You enter the kitchen to find him going through the pantry wordlessly, as he usually did when he got home. You clear your throat and he turns around to face you, his face instantly lighting up. You still couldn't believe you had this effect on him, it was so real as if he hadn't been faking it all this time. "Oh hey love, how was your day", slowly he approaches you planting a kiss on your cheek. Instead of answer his question, you make your way over to the bench, picking up the magazine and shoving it against his chest. He pries it out of your hands and his eyes slowly scan the front cover before it flopped lazily back onto the counter. He cautiously returned his gaze to yours. "Y/N, she was just a friend" he insisted boldly. Brave move. "Just a friend? Right. Well, page three suggests that is another of your stupid lies. When is this going to stop Cody? I'm sick and tired of you lying to me. If you don't want me anymore, then shove me aside, and you're an expert at that right?". "Why won't you trust me! This is bullshit, and you know it! Don't be stupid!" Cody shouts back, pointing to the magazine. "I am stupid" You spat coldly, "Stupid for thinking you would ever change your ways for anyone!". You turn on your heel, ready to leave, grabbing your keys. "Don't f*****g leave, Y/N, that's childish and immature!". Just before opening the door completely and making your way out of his life, maybe for good this time, you glare at him, his expression was unreadable and he knew you hated that. You could see the hurt and anger in his eyes, but more than anything you saw regret, that was new. "When your ready to be mature about this Cody and commit to something other than another ex for five minutes. Call me. I don't want to be just another one of 'your girls'. Despite what you may think I love you. But clearly that isn't enough for you anymore" You slowly and calmly said, before slamming the door behind you. You flicked your keys around in your palm, unlocking your car as you heard the click of its opening. You rush over, hearing the front door being wrenched open. You slip into the seats, begging yourself not to look over at him as he ran toward the car. You sped off, leaving skid marks on the road, but who honestly cared? You swerved your way through the familiar streets, eager to just getaway. Minutes later, your phone started ringing. And ringing. And ringing. You sigh and dig for it in your bag. You check the caller ID, Cody. Of course. You click accept, just really wanting to hear what he has to say. "What?!" You spat, resting the phone on the dashboard. "I'm so sorry, Y/N, I truly am but hear me out" Cody's panicked voice rung through. You scoff and turn an immediate right corner, almost missing it. Your phone goes flying off the dashboard and underneath your seat. "s**t" You sigh, reaching down and fishing around to find it. Suddenly, the whole car is lit up brightly, and as soon as you look up, two blinding flashing headlights shone your way. You slammed on the brakes, your phone clenched in your hand, but your frozen. Unable to move. And that's when the heading of the truck, collided with your car.
Cody's P.O.V
"I'm so sorry, Y/N, I truly am but hear me out!" I plead, hearing her scoff on the other line. I heard her car traveling at speeds that were certainly illegal. "Y/N, you need to slow down," I said immediately. The sound of rummaging, or maybe the phone dropping, rung through. "Y/N?" I call, once, then twice. The worst sound you could possibly imagine, begun to play through the phone. It was like I was being forced to listen to my nightmare. I could hear the sound of the tires of the car screeching on the road, and an ear-splitting horn siren. Crashing. Shards of glass hitting concrete. Y/N's screams. It was all playing in one devastating track. "Y/N?!" I shout, shortly hearing the disconnected dial tone after I did so. "No, s**t, f**k, no" I mumbled, standing up and pacing around the room. Of course, I wasn't thinking straight, my mind was a blur. All I kept thinking was, my baby, my girl, she was in trouble. That motivation alone got me to sprint to the door, grab my car keys, and hurry to speed toward the scene. I followed the street, the only path of the road she would've taken. She only ever drives one certain way, I know of this. My cars tire screech along the path, the smell of burning rubber filling the car. I wound down the window, and poked my head out, trying to see through the dim-lit road and smoke. I heard a short, small cry. And for that instant, I knew it was her. I slammed on the brakes, my car coming to a sudden stop. I leaped out, grabbing my phone in an attempt to try and lighten the way as I walked down the dark road. "Y/N?!" I call out, looking in all directions around myself. "CODY?!" She shouted back. "Hang on, baby, don't move" I yell, immediately sprinting in the direction of her voice. My mouth gapes open as I notice the scene. Her car, the front of her car scrunched up, and the front of another car, an exact replica. The driver of the other car rolled from his seat and onto the road, coughing frantically. I knelt down next to Y/N's car, peering into the driver's side. "Y/N?" I whisper, horrified. "Cody?". I shone my light into the car, seeing her sprawled, panicked expression as she was cramped into the corner of her seat. I wrenched open the door, feeling little shards of glass hit my arm as I did so. I leaned forward, unclipped her seatbelt, and slid my arm around her waist. I pull her out of the mess, seating her down on the concrete. I held the light of my phone up to her face and sat opposite her. "Are you hurt? Are you okay?" I ask immediately. She just shakes her head, her eyes drooping. "Okay just stay here, alright, keep looking at me" I wave my hand in front of her face and unlock my phone, dialing the emergency number straight away. After quickly telling them the details and directions, I hung up and knelt back down beside Y/N. "You're going to be okay, baby, I promise" I hear the piercing shrill off the sirens and The paramedics arrived loading Y/N on a gurney. "Where are you taking her," I ask him "We're gonna take her to north memorial hospital," He tells me I nod my head and quickly get in my car and follow the paramedics. I get there and park rushing to the receptionist "Excuse me do you know what room Y/N Y/L/N is in" I ask the receptionist " Yes floor 3 room 116" I rush off towards her room When I enter I see her in the hospital bed right arm in a cast along with her left leg. I pull a chair up to the side of the bed and sit down and take her hand in mine. "Y/N I'm so sorry I'm ready to commit I love you so much You wouldn't be here if I would've just got my s**t together," I say tears running down my face I fell her hand lightly squeeze mine and then her beautiful voice speaks "Cody it's not your fault okay I love you too so much I forgive you but the minute it happens again We're done Okay," She says sternly " Yes I promise it'll never happen again," I say kissing her gently.
