Lily was happier than usual today. She was all smiles and giggles. It helped me calm down but still Ben's stare was turning my stomach. Ben was really trying to up his cooking skills. He made dessert. A homemade cheesecake. I didn't know if I was grateful or annoyed that this dinner took longer then expected. Naturally, Lily was done eating first. Ben took her to her room and put her to bed. He came back and sat back down on his chair. He stared at me and I tried to keep my gaze but I was nervous. I looked down and to the sides.
