Chapter 11

544 Words
Kyle’s/his wolf’s POV: I am gonna kill Sherrie, Makalia and her friends. Shred them into many pieces, a closed casket is what they will have. They do not deserve to have a burial. Bullying and such violence to a person is uncalled for, especially since this is all because Addy does not even have a wolf when she does. I failed my sister. I had one job. To protect my sister and I failed. ‘Come on man! You are joy to blame,’ my wolf, Riker, stated trying to ease my guilt. ‘It’s my fault! Addy was attacked because of me. I was told to walk her to Aunt Lily. I shouldn’t have listened to Addy and just stayed,’ I growled back, making Riker whimper. Riker took over and I shifted right there in the room. I sunk to the back of my mind the guilt of failing eating at me. “Riker, what wrong with Kyle?”my sister asked softly out loud. ‘I sorry little one. He’s sad and mad. He blame himself,’ he whimpered. Kyle was a strong human with a big heart, but when it came to protecting the ones he loved, he carried the weight of the blame; blaming himself for something he couldn’t control. Addy got up off the bed, despite all the protests from her loved ones around her. Riker slumped on the floor as I was curled in the fetal position in the back of my mind. Addy came over to me, almost tumbling a could have times to the floor. I whimpered as she almost fell, but caught herself. I watched her closely in case I needed to jump over to catch her fall. Addy sat on the floor and I put my head in her lap. She stroked my fur, rubbing my ears just how I like it. “It’s not your fault Kyle. I told you to go because you were gonna be late. It’s not your fault everyone doesn’t like me. Please do not blame yourself, I have dealt with the rejection from this pack since I wasn’t able to shift. Don’t blame yourself, it’s not anyone’s fault,” I sighed, stroking between his eyes, making Riker close his eyes and enjoy the love I was giving him, him purring in happiness. “Riker and you have protected me the best you could, so rest brother because you and your wolf have some much needed running to do with me running on your back. You owe me, so chop, chop, and stop wallowing in the blame that isn’t your fault.” ‘See I told you Kyle. Addy love you and you didn’t fail her,’ Riker said to his human. ‘Okay. I am ready to shift back but I need clothes as you shredded my clothes shifting,’ Kyle replied, feeling at ease with the comforting words his sister had told him. ‘He’s ready to shift back, but needs clothes,’ Riker grumbled to everyone in the room. “Clothes are already on their way,” Aunt Lily said. Addy continued to sit on the floor petting my head as we waited for the clothes so I could shift back to Kyle. Kyle still let me have full control.
