Chapter 12

Addie’s POV:

Looking at my brother, I knew he was blaming himself for what happened to me. I don’t know how I knew, but I knew Riker was on the surface. I could feel his aura pushing something inside me. I suddenly had the strength to get up.

I stumbled as I walked over to him but eventually made it on my own. I needed to comfort my brother, even if I fell on my face to get to him.

Once Kyle was fully calm, he shifted back into is human form and pulled the clothes on quickly. No one in the room including me batted an eye at his nudity. Wolves don’t care about that!

After he was dressed, he helped me back into the bed. I could feel my whole body buzzing with something strong. I could explain it, it was definitely magical and powerful.

“Addy you should rest,” my dad told me. My mom ushered everyone out of the room, besides Maverick. My dad and mom left last kidding me on the forehead and tell long me they loved me.

I gave my mom a pleading looking saying ‘don’t leave me with Maverick’, but she only kissed my forehead and said, “listen to your heart my sweet child”. My dad left closing the door behind him.
