Chapter 1.9 Shen Qi

Shen Qi was once again in her dreamland, she saw herself in her room lying on her bed. A man was sitting beside her, again!

The man was once again caressing her face, he had a melancholic look as he looked at her.

Seeing this man so melancholic, Shen Qi's heart could not help but tighten. She reach her hand over and grab the hand that was caressing her face and unconsciously, she kissed the hand in a comforting manner like she had done for him in the past?

With this sudden thought, she jolted awake and shot up like a bolt of thunder.

She looked at her surroundings but the man was no longer there, it was empty....

Loneliness gripped her heart once again, she did not expect to wake up alone once again.

She shook her head and lay down on her bed but then a thought flashed through her mind, she bolted up, again.

"Sh*t! Where is that d* mn b*stard! How dare he leave me again!" Shen Qi was livid as she clench and unclench her fist while murmuring some bad "things" that she will do if she ever see him again!

‘Leaving me alone without even saying goodbye? HMP! I'll let you cough up blood then!’

Shen Qi kept on sulking as she thought of that d*mn b*stard named Mu Xuan!

While on the other side, a certain someone was sneezing thinking that he had caught a bad chill.

"Did you caught a cold? This Prince never would have thought that someone of your caliber would ever catch a cold! You had opened this prince’s eyes today." The Second Prince said in an exaggerated manner as he walk around Mu Xuan.

"Only idiots don't catch cold!" The implications of what Mu Xuan said tell his true intentions.

"Third Brother, your so mean! Why are you so mean towards your Second Brother?!" The Second Prince playfully clutch his chest and acted like he was suffering greatly.

"I never said that you were an idiot."

The Second Prince was stupefied when he heard Mu Xuan's answer that he almost fell down.

"Why is he still not visiting? It's been two days already, what's taking him so long?!" Shen Qi impatiently muttered as her aura turned even darker, dark clouds were looming over her house.

She waited for him to come but NO! She searched for him but still NO! He is NOwhere insight!!

The servants in her courtyard, seeing their Princess getting worse by the day could not help but go as far away from the Princess. They were afraid to get punished because of their Princess bad mood!

‘Should I go and take the ML with me? Maybe that way he will become jealous just like before, let’s see if he won’t still appear!’ Shen Qi laughed darkly.

Even Little Yu was afraid to come near her Princess who was visibly in a bad mood but she was given an important task by the Emperor and that is to bring her Princess on time for dinner together with the Emperor!

"P-Princess...." Little Yu stuttered.

"What is it?" Shen Qi said a little impatient. She did not mean to be rude but she was just in a bad mood because of Mu Xuan!

"Princess, the Emperor invited you to dine with him in Qinghai Pavilion for dinner. This servant just wanted to remind Princess about the dinner, the sun is almost about to set and Princess only has about an hour to prepare."

"Hmmm... will Mu Xuan be also there?" Shen Qi asked a little bit annoyed.

Little Yu hesitated for a second before answering, she knew just how bad her Princess hated the Third Prince.

"All the Princes’ would be there." Little Yu readied herself to be rejected but she did not expect that Shen Qi would not reject her.

"Alright then, Little Yu prepare my bath. Use the White Lily perfume for my bath, got it? And also, bring out that old box from under my chest. I'll wear that clothes for tonight." Shen Qi quickly ordered as she deviously smiled.

Little Yu was puzzled as to why her Princess wanted to wear the old clothes in that box, she thought that her Princess did not like it since she had never seen her Princess wear it. Not even once when she received it from who knows who, not once ever.

While Little Yu was thinking about the meaning of life, Shen Qi on the other hand was thinking of ending someone's life.

‘Let's see how you cough out blood. You dared to not show up in front of me even when I look for you? Then let's see if you can still continue that act after tonight!’

"Third Brother, wait!!" The Second Prince once again ran after his Third Brother, Mu Xuan.

"What are you here for again? Stop following me!" Mu Xuan said irritated of this idiotic brother of his. Can't he read the mood?!

"Third Brother, come on tell me! What happened between the two of you again?! I tried to help you fix things up but why did you end up messing things up again?!" The Second Prince was starting to get annoyed at Mu Xuan who just keeps on messing up!! He tried too help him but he still messed up!

"What do you know? You don't know anything, so its best for you to just shut up before this prince makes you!" Mu Xuan glared at the Second Prince, his glare was not like the usual that lack the seriousness and will but today his glare was too frightening that the Second Prince forgot to even speak for a minute.

Mu Xuan quickly walked away not wanting to talk to the Second Prince, he had so many matters to deal with and he would not waste his time dealing with the Second Prince!

When Mu Xuan was finally out of sight, the Second Prince snapped out of it and shivered in fear for real.

"So scary, Mu Xuan is so scary!" The Second Prince could not stop shivering "But what indeed happened between the two of them? Oh well. *whistles~*" The Second Prince who was shivering moments ago immediately change his attitude 180° from that fear shaken dude to a playful and mischievous Prince.

It looks like the Second Prince is not as easy as he portrayed himself to be, he is also devious and cunning at the same time.

"Mu Xuan greets the Emperor!" Mu Xuan put his hands together and bowed.

"Hoho... Mu Xuan, I told you already that you can call me First Brother when it is just us. Don't bother with the courtesy and let's talk like in the past." The Emperor waved his hand to show his displeasure of being called Emperor by his brothers.

"First Brother, you never changed but calling you Emperor, even if you are our brother is already a tradition and the law." Mu Xuan could not help but smile wryly.

"Who cares about tradition and law, when it comes to family no such thing as law and tradition could stop me!" The Emperor scoff and proudly raised his chest and chin like a proud peacock but instead of looking like the dignified Emperor that he used to be when in morning court, the Emperor right now looked like an i***t!

The Emperor's fellow brothers could only shake their heads because of this dumb brother of theirs, how did he even become the Emperor? Of course, he is the first born!

Then why did the others not compete for the throne just like what other novels and tv dramas portrayed the Royal family to be? Simple, no one wanted to become the Emperor!! You dumb or something?! Who wanted to be tied to the throne and have millions of worries and headaches just to take care of a kingdom? Of course none of them are willing to take the throne, the First Prince who also does not want to take the throne could only shed tears of blood as his brothers pushed him to the front!

"By the way, where is Shen'er?" The Emperor asked when he noticed that Shen Qi was still not there.

As this point was pointed out, the dumb brothers also noticed that their cute lil sister was in fact still not there.
