Chapter 1.8 Shen Qi

"What's going on here?" A man in black robes wearing a silver mask walked out from among the crowd.

The crowd parted like waves when they saw who the man was, fear and reverence could be seen in each of their eyes.

"It's his highness, the Third Prince!"

"It's really the Third Prince!"

"The Third Prince!"

"How come he is here?!"

"Third Brother, nothing's wrong." Shen Qi smiled at him.

Seeing her smile so sweetly and most of all towards him, Mu Xuan could not help but be in a daze.

"This lowly one g-greets his highness the Third Prince…" Feng An shivered in fear when Mu Xuan's eyes swept pass through her.

"Is this lowlife causing trouble for you, again? Do you want me to punish her for you?" When he noticed that the woman in front of him was the same person that dared to hurt his 'sister', Mu Xuan's blood boiled and his brows furrowed dangerously.

He was only away for a minute to deal (chase away) with his rival and the moment he comes back a lowlife was causing trouble for his 'sister' again! It seems that she does not want her life anymore!

He was already frustrated to the point that he wanted to kill because of Li Fengxian but now a Feng An comes knocking on his sister’s door? It looks like no one would cry if they do not see a coffin.

Mu Xuan glared at Feng An dangerously as his fist clench into a fist, he was about to stride towards Feng An but Shen Qi stopped him.

"Third Brother, nothing is really wrong. We were just talking, no need to get angry." Shen Qi held Mu Xuan's arm and pulled him towards her.

The crowd though that Feng An is truly done for when they saw Mu Xuan making his move.

But no one expected that Shen Qi will pull him away on the last second and even protecting Feng An, they could not help but lament on how kind their Princess was and how evil Feng An is!

It's not like Shen Qi suddenly became a Saint but instead she was thinking that she would be the one to personally end Feng An, a blood debt could only be paid by blood!

She will let her suffer ten million folds for what she had done to the kind hearted Shen Qi, she will not let Feng An have an easy death. An eye for an eye!

She wanted to be the one to end her so she did not let Mu Xuan do the job for her. Killing her is just too easy, letting her suffer in the most cruelest way will be the only thing that will satisfy her.

"…....." Mu Xuan's brow creased but did not say anything more, he just glared at Feng An for one last time before silently staying beside Shen Qi like a tamed dog! His expression unreadable.

But if you just knew how to read people with face paralysis like me the Author, of course, his face could only be perceive as blissful and pure happiness!

"Well, we still have somewhere to go so we'll be going first." Shen Qi said turning away but then stop and turned to look at Feng An again "Feng An..."

Feng An was about to sigh in relief when the two Demonic siblings turned away but then choke, hearing the Demonic woman calling her name.

"Is there anything you need from this lowly one....your highness." Feng An gritted her teeth.

"You see, it's about what you asked me earlier if I like General Li." Shen Qi stated while playfully smiling. She just thought of something mischievous.

Feng An's breath hitched and did not dare look at the burning gaze burning on her face, she almost fainted from fear when Shen Qi brought up the topic in front of Mu Xuan.

"Well, here's my answer." Shen Qi mischievously smiled as she held Mu Xuan's arm closer to her. "The type of man that this Princess like is someone like my Third Brother here, he must be both strong and handsome. This Princess does not like people who are weaker than my brothers, if they dare marry me, they must first defeat this Princess Third Brother if they wanted this Princess' hand in marriage. And General Li is just sooooooooo way out of my Third Brother’s league, well that's all I want to say. Then if you'll excuse us, goodbye."

The crowd stood on their spot frozen for awhile, they just snapped out of their reverie and fear when the two siblings were finally out of sight.

On the other side, in a dark alley where no one that was normal would even dare go, someone was being pressed into a wall paying for her crimes. This someone is none other than… Shen Qi.

"Stop calling me brother!"

"But what should I call you other than “brother”?" Shen Qi who was being pressed into the wall expressionlessly said.

"Mu Xuan. Call me Mu Xuan." Noticing his temper flared up, he quickly calmed himself down not wanting to scare his 'sister'.

"Then Mu Xuan it is. What do you want?" Shen Qi raised an eyebrow while crossing her arms.

"You! All I want is you, you knew that..." Mu Xuan said feeling helpless.

Mu Xuan knew too well that she will never love back him since he knew that she only see him as her brother, a family.

Shen Qi's face suddenly got serious, a glint flashed pass her eyes.

'So my guess was really right, Mu Xuan indeed had feelings for Shen Qi, his sister.'

"But your my brother.." Shen Qi also helplessly said.

She knew that they are not related by soul but by blood they are, no matter how handsome this man is, she must not eat him! But, so tempting..… no, he is not him!

"Brother, brother! I told you I'm not your brother, I told you 5 years ago that we are not siblings! We did not come from the same parents, you are the previous Emperor’s daughter and not my father Emperor's daughter! How many times do I have to tell you this!"

Shen Qi was shocked by the discovery, she did not know that there was a hidden plot behind this story. By connecting the dots then it's possible, she had found the answer as to why Mu Xuan kept on going against the leads.

'It was all for Shen Qi's sake, he was avenging her death!'

"Mu Xuan...." Shen Qi was at lost to what to tell him.

"Sigh... forget it. It was only me who was going after you all this time, I tried to forget you all this time and I thought that I had succeed but when I saw you again my feelings for you gushed out like a raging river and my heart beat again for the first time in three years, again."

Shen Qi' heart skipped a beat when she heard his confession, she tried to stop her heart from beating wildly afraid that he will hear, but her face still turned beat red and was unable to look at him.

She did not know why she was feeling this way but the familiar emotion just came rushing towards her like a tsunami, it drowned her. She does not like this feeling at all, not one bit.

'I can only feel this way towards that person. But he is not him, is he?'

Clearly, Shen Qi was threatening the System who at the mention of its year end BONUS shivered and took Shen Qi seriously.

[Don't you dare touch my year end BONUS you d*mn brat! Alright, I'll answer your d*mn question! Yes, he is THAT PERSON!! Happy now?! Then go and complete your f*cking mission and don't h*ll* disturb me anymore! BYE!!] The System then cut off the line with a scoff.

Shen Qi did not know that System’s could also curse, she had gained an enlightenment today. But that's not what we are talking about, Shen Qi was glad that, that person is here! She is so glad that he is alive even though he's not in his real body, she is glad to know that he is safe.

She did not notice that big droplet of tears were falling on her face continuously, she was just too happy to find him again.

"S-Shen'er, why are you crying? Is it because of me, did I make you cry? I'm sorry, b-brother is really sorry. Please don't cry, it hurts to see you cry like this." Mu Xuan gently wiped her tears away while trying to comfort her.

But instead of calming her down, Shen Qi instead cried harder. Her eyes started to redden and her nose was so red that it could be compared to Rudolf’s nose.

"Broth--, Mu Xuan, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, I'm so sorry." Shen Qi did not know on who she was saying sorry for, was her sorry for Mu Xuan or that person? She herself doesn't know, she just keep on saying sorry to him while crying.

Mu Xuan did not know what to do, he tried to calm her down but she instead cried even harder. He was starting to get lost to what to do, he the genius tactician and the strongest General was helpless in front of the woman that he loves. He could only look at her crying not knowing what to do, suddenly he pulled her in his embrace and slowly patted her head. It was like, he had done this million of times before because it felt pretty natural to him.

Shen Qi immediately stopped crying and quietly lay in his embrace, once in a while she will hiccup and she did not show any sign of letting go.

Mu Xuan only discovered that she had fallen asleep when he felt her even breathing, he fondly smile at her seeing her like this.

"She never changed.....?!" Mu Xuan was baffled when those words came out of his mouth. He thought, where did those words came from?
