I hear foot steps coming my way and I slow my breathing to barely a peep. We have a year from our death date or we stay dead. She hated that we all found out fated mates but she didn’t. She wanted what she couldn’t have or wait for her own. That’s why she cursed us. We need to make sure the curse is gone. So we need to find the others and inform them about it somehow.” His eyes implore me to believe him. How can I not, it all makes sense. My nerves have calmed enough that everything is making sense. I huff while trying to blow my bangs. Which I always did when I knew he was right. f*****g infuriating, I guess ghost form means these damn bangs will constantly be in my damn eyes. I can’t even have that pleasure. When I’m done throwing a mini tantrum in my head I look up to see him smiling so sweetly at me and my heart melts just a little more. “Ok, let’s go find our friends.”
