Autumn plopped down in her seat with a scowl on her face, “Drop it,” she repeated Kol's words before scoffing again, “What is his problem? Acting all indifferent as if nothing transpired between us. Even if I told him to forget about it, how could he be so indifferent?”
She picked up her phone from her desk and dialed Aria's number for the umpteenth time. She hadn't contacted her since she had hung up during their conversation, and she was getting worried.
“The number—” Autumn ended the call in annoyance. It was the same thing every time she called. Her phone was switched off. She sighed and focused on her work instead.
Kol loosened the tie around his neck before sinking into the leather chair, “What a stressful day this has been,” he muttered tiredly.
